Hi!
Make sure the triggers are good aligned, otherwise it won’t close easily. Also check the rumble motor. If it isn’t inserted correctly (wrong way) it won’t close easily either.
Hopefully that is it. Otherwise try again with the original shell, if that one works right away, it’s related to the case…

Unfortunately my old shell is bent so I cannot use it ever again. And it is not the problem with the trigger position I always align them perfectly. And my rumble motor Is aligned in the right direction so I have no idea what might be the problem.
@krzysztofh47108 it might be caused by a casing with poor quality. In theory extremerate's products are usually pretty good but it might still happen. I've came across aftermarket casings for the Xbox 360 controller and they won't close as well. You might need to compare it to your original casing and shave off extra stuff.
Also since you mentioned that your old shell is bent then it might be a bent motherboard.
My motherboard is fine the problem with the old bent shell was that i used the hairdryer ( because I was cleaning it) and it melted and deformed in some places so it is unusable and about cutting the shell. I would want to try it but I am not sure what piece of the new shell should be cut. Any tips or ideas about that?
I would get a donor/broken controller and get the shell from there. It will save you a lot of trouble. You need to compare the shells with each other whenever you want to use a 3rd party one. Where did you bought it? Thank you!
