My whirlpool dishwasher won't open
I have an older Whirlpool dishwasher. The latch won't open. How can I fix this?

The model number most likely is on the inside of the door or in the door jamb
Presumably there's a problem with the latch which most probably has to be replaced so knowing the model number would have helped to find the correct replacement part.
Here's a video that shows one method that you could try to open the door.
If you get the door open and the latch needs replacing, search online for (insert dishwasher model number) parts list to hopefully find a list of the parts which has the part number for each of the parts in the dishwasher.
Then once you've found the part number for the latch, search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
If you search on YouTube for (insert part number) replacement, sometimes if you're lucky you'll find videos showing how to remove/replace the part.

What is the model number of the dishwasher?

There isn't a model number listed on the outside. But it does say Whirlpool Sound Conditioned on the front, which is all black.
