Xbox making weird buzzing noise sometimes

Hi! My Xbox Series S makes a loud buzzing sound even when it is cold and I am just on the home screen. It is not running any games or downloads. This happens quite often: it might buzz for a few days, then stay quiet for a while, and then start again. Strangely, when I start a game like GTA V, the console becomes quiet and sounds normal again. I checked the vents and they look fine. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

Hi!

Could be the fan.. could also be caused by the internal power supply.

First, I would disassemble it, and tesT it with the case off. Listen carefully to the components I mentioned.

If it’s the PSU, then replace it. > Xbox Series S Power Supply Replacement
