@thomassilayo how heavy does your engine smoke from the exhaust? Sounds like you are having some major engine issues. What have you already checked? Pull the spark plugs out and let us know what they look like. Better yet, take some pictures of the spark plug faces and post the with your Question. Adding images to an existing question

Burned valves, bad pistons and piston rings as well as a cracked head/block are all a possibility. To narrow it down, we will need to get more detailed information from you on this. We need to know what exact year and engine size your Vitz (sold here as the Yaris) is. the more detail you can provide the better the chances of finding out what is going on with it and to get it repaired.

Here are the main causes of thick white smoke emitting from a Yaris/Vitz:

  1. Broken/Leaking Cylinder Head Gasket: This is the most common cause. A damaged gasket allows coolant to enter the combustion chamber, producing thick white smoke.
  2. Cracked Engine Block or Cylinder Head: A crack in this component causes radiator fluid to leak into the engine compartment.
  3. Worn Valve Seals or Piston Rings (Bluish White Smoke): Although the smoke is usually bluish, severely worn piston rings or valve seals can allow engine oil to enter the combustion chamber, sometimes appearing as thick white smoke.
  4. Damaged PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) System: A damaged PCV valve allows engine oil to leak and burn.
  5. Overheating: Excessive engine heat can cause the cylinder head gasket to fail, resulting in white smoke.

You seem to be focused on the idea of smoke, but the original poster never said there was any smoke; they are asking about excessive oil consumption.

To be honest, this has the look of an AI-generated answer to me, and if that's the case you need to phrase your query better to make the answer relevant to the actual question being asked.
