Astro A50 Base Station Not Recognizing the Headset

I have an Astro A50 headset, and recently the base station stopped recognizing the headset. When I place the headset on the base, it doesn’t connect, charge, or get detected at all. I tried different USB ports, cables, and even resetting the base and headset, but nothing worked.

It seems like the base station is not communicating with the headset anymore. Could you please help me identify what might be causing this issue or guide me to the correct replacement part or repair steps?

Thank you in advance for your help.

For your base station not identifying your headset - ie, the orange light does not come on when you try to charge it or you are getting the red light on the base station. If you remove the right ear cuff (not the one the mic is on) and peel up the fuzzy cover on the inside of ear cuff up - including the flat black paper that is sticky on the opposite side (it may not come up with the fuzzy part. Also, this will stick back down mostly, and your actual ear cuff cover will hold it down, once you are done. Under the black fuzzy/paper, in the bottom right you will see a small white box in a hole. You can use a pen or something very small and long enough to reach to move that to the right. Not a big movement. Replace the ear cuff, and your headphones should now charge properly. After a lot of use, some of the inside electronics seem to move around and disconnect slightly, from putting the headset down and moving around over time. This worked for me!
