What year is your Supra? If it's 1996 or later it will have an OBD-II port and should be scanned for trouble codes, which will help diagnose the issue.

Hi there.

Since you mentioned that it's "rumbling" and the fuel usage is "high", the most probable cause could be a ignition failure. Most commonly a failing ignition coil or badly fouled spark plugs.

Another reason, but less likely, could be the coolant temperature sensor stuck reading cold, or MAF sensor failure.

My suggestion is that you check your spark plugs before anything else. Take them out and see if any of them are black, wet, or smell strongly of fuel. If any of them does, then the problem is likely from that cylinder.
