Most likely is touch disease which plagued the iphone 6 series, it is a board issue sadly.

This is quite vague and i don't know why it's stopped. What i need is:
Was this phone involved in an accident?
Has there been any parts replacement before?
Has it undergone service before?
What were you doing at the time?
If you can get me those, i'll have a much better chance at answering your question.
