Plugged in the charger as usual but its very small and I’m wondering if its been damaged by someone trying to put the plug in upside down. Any suggestions much appreciated.

When charging the camera, it is best to use a universal charger (a brick-shaped charger that you put your battery) to charge the battery. Also, if you do not use the camera, it is better that you take out the battery cause it will still drain it, or even worst it won't turn on because the battery has already been dead (idk the term they use but practically the camera drained it, and took the ability to charge and store electricity).
