The HP EliteOne 800 is HP's all-in-one desktop with a 23-inch diagonal screen.

Why won't my computer start?

My HP EliteOne 800 (unsure if it is a G1 or G2) will not turn on, no lights will turn on, or the screen is not showing any sort of responsive interface. It is making noises like it is running, but nothing is happening or it will not start at all and is completely unresponsive to all buttons.

Check the connection of the power cable both in the back of the PC and at the outlet. If the connections are solid then you should read this article from the troubleshooting page for more help: HP EliteOne 800 Troubleshooting

There is a Display Port output on the back. You might use a separate monitor to see if the display system has failed. Here's a tip. Examine the screen very closely with a flashlight held up to the screen. See if you can see the screen image on the dark screen. It may be that it boots up OK but the backlight has failed.
