<title><![CDATA[work force pro printer 4630: Problem downgrading the firmware of an Epson WF-7840]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Good morning everyone,</p>

<p>I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).</p>

<p>Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.</p>

<p>I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in &quot;recovery mode&quot; and, on the Epson website, I found the &quot;<strong><a href="https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/WorkForce-Series/Epson-WorkForce-Pro-WF-7840/s/SPT_C11CH67201#panel-drivers-4-1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC</a>&quot;</strong> for the Epson WF-7840.</p>

<p>But it doesn't work...</p>

<p>First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the &quot;Epson firmware updater&quot; but it sees that a printer is connected.</p>

<p>Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen &quot;Data file not found&quot;.</p>

<p>I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16&quot; m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong?</p>

<title><![CDATA[work force pro printer 4630: How to fix printhead]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>When I try to print  something it comes out all blurry and missing areas. I’ve performed the clean header function a few time  using up all my ink.  Is it possible to take it apart and clean the header, or should I buying more ink in hopes that the on board cleaning function will fix it ? I just don’t want to waist to much time and money on something that may not be  worth it</p>

<title><![CDATA[work force pro printer 4630: phantom jams on Epson ecotank]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I actually have an ecotank 2000 series.. my printers computer doesn't want to allow printing on anything other that regular paper. If i try photopapper it feeds halfway then &quot; paper jam&quot; but it isnt. If i tell the printer it is printing on regular paper, it will print on the photopaper.. but the quality isnt there.  Ive tried reinstalling the driver sand uninstalling and reinstalling my printer, making sure the printer wasnt plugged into a surge protector, and unplugging it and leaving it set overnight .. nothing works..</p>

<title><![CDATA[work force pro printer 4630: Ink cartridge won’t stay in slot]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My magenta ink cartridge won’t stay in its slot. It doesn’t click into place.  How do I repair the spring mechanism or where can I find a replacement for the cartridge holder/shoe/I dunno what to call it but it’s where all 4 cartridges are held inside the printer and it’s a stationary part and there  is definitely a separation from the rest of the printer so it should be replaceable at the very least.  Any information would be great.</p>
