samsung galaxy a70: Why is there no mobile network connection?

My phone stopped charging and even after trying every single cable, it would not work. Eventually the phone died and I decided to replace replace the charging port since I have a background in computer science and am quite knowledgeable on hardware and pcs.

The whole repair went smoothly, until I turned it back on and put it in my SIM card. Even after trying all the select my own mobile network options, and going to different locations, and making sure that my SIM card works on other devices, (it did), I was not able to connect to connect to any mobile networks. When I choose the select my mobile network from a list, entries do show up on the list, but even after waiting it never seems to actually connect. After this, I replaced the antenna, thinking that I must have damaged it during the repair, bring the repair, but it still hasn't been working. Once I thought that it could have something to do with the do with the new charging port board that I put in, I put in my old board just to make sure that the antenna works on it. Somehow the charging is working on the old board now and even with all combinations of boards and antennas, nothing seems to be working.

What am I missing? How can I get this to work.

samsung galaxy a70: How do I calibrate the optical fingerprint sensor Samsung Galaxy A70?

Hello,

I am trying to repair a Samsung Galaxy A70 with a previously replaced display.

After this replacement, the fingerprint sensor doesn't work. The sensor might be broken but I was trying to do a calibration to see if it is really the case.

I found this tutorial but the app doesn't work on my device (How to Calibrate an Optical Fingerprint Sensor)

I also found this video using the app, but I can't find where to open this calibration menu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYyBPF35...

Here are the status of the sensor (see linked images)

samsung galaxy a70: Screen is black and has occasional white flickering lines

A few hours ago, my screen suddenly had a white horizontal line on the side but it still worked fine, the line was just blocking a small section of the screen. Then suddenly, after a few seconds on fondling with the phone, checking if the screen had any other problems, the screen went black. I pressed the power button but it didn’t work. I tried charging it but nothing happened. I held the power button and volume button for a few seconds and the phone vibrated but nothing else happened, the screen was still black. Occasionally, two perpendicular white lines pop up on the screen for a split second. Other than that nothing else has happened.

I remembered using the phone with my hands slightly covered in oil but I don’t know how the oil would have gotten into the thing because I don’t remember touching any openings and I don’t know how a tiny bit of oil could just break the entire screen.

samsung galaxy a70: Best replacement part option for damaged screen

I see that this iFixit screen replacement guide is for a bare screen, and it adds that "some replacement screens for this phone come pre-installed in a new frame (a.k.a. chassis), which requires a very different procedure."

I usually work on iPhones (i've about 10 years amateur experience), but a friend has a cracked Galaxy A70 screen that i've offered to replace. This iFixit walkthrough looks pretty straightforward, but sadly iFixit doesn't seem to offer parts or kits in the store.

When looking up sources for parts, i see that A70 screens are commonly offered either barebones, or with the frame and/or fingerprint reader, for an additional third of the price, give or take.

I'm just after advice on whether it might be wiser to pick up a replacement with or without the frame, or the fingerprint reader? How different is the "very different procedure"? Would the effort saved from not needing to transfer these additional parts be worth it for someone new to Samsungs, needing to work it out?

Thanks for your time.

samsung galaxy a70: What happens if I try to repair a phone while it remains on?

I selected the Samsung Galaxy A70 as the device because it is the phone I am trying to repair at this exact moment, but it is a general question.

I need to change the screen of a phone, but since the touch doesn't work I have no way to turn it off.

Do I necessarily have to wait for it to turn off? Is there any unrecoverable damage if I try to fix it while it is on? (I would have to remove the battery as well).

samsung galaxy a70: What is the difference between these two types of batteries?

Good evening.

To buy some spare parts I use an Italian site called "e-pol" (it is very used in Italy and it is reliable). I should buy a battery for a samsung galaxy a70 and it gives me these two results. I notice that the manufacturer codes and prices are different. Can you tell me what is the difference between these two types of batteries? Are they both original?

Hi

My girlfriend dropped her Samsung A70 on the hard floor and phone hit the edge. The screen cracked little bit and it is black now. I tried to recover all data from the phone memory but when I connected it to the PC its is not recognized. PC doesn’t even detect that some device was connected. I tried to connect phone via USB to my monitor screen and also via USB - HDMI adapter to TV. It didn’t work.
The phone is fully charged and when I press power button it vibrates. Today morning an alarm clock went off .
I removed back and checked all cables. I reconnected battery and main cable, press power button and phone vibrates as usual.
Does new screen with digitizer help mi to turn my phone on or is there something damaged in the mainboard, USB board …etc?

Regards

samsung galaxy a70: Why my phone couldnt charge?

Hi.

I couldnt charge my phone. At first, the screen only display the symbol of current (without any percentage numbers as per normal charging). And now, when i connected my phone with the power cable, the screen is just blank. In both situations, the phone couldnt be charged at all.

Ive used different chargers, but the problem remains.

My main worries are the data in the internal storage.

How can i recover all data, including the whatsapp chats, sms, photos, documents, etc, when the phone has no power and couldnt be charged?

If the problem is with the charging ic, what can i do to get all my data in the phone back?
