iRobot Roomba 560: ERROR 10 - without a good reason

I am hoping one of you techno geeks (like me) may be able to help me with solve a Roomba ERROR issue.

I mod Rooba 560/650s to act as a powerful UVC sterilization robot.

I pull all the motors, blowers and brushes and replace it with a custom UVC bulb.

If its bacteria or Viruses . . . .we kill it. (after two passes)

Overall - it works great . . .

[b]PROBLEM: we are getting ERROR 10's when we try to run it in a larger open area - say 20 X 20.

IT is definitely NOT a wheel issue or jam as the code would indicate.

This is some other issue that stops the robot in its tracks and ERROR 10's.

I am thinking it just gets to far from its base OR it went to far without seeing a wall or obstruction. I am trying NOT to add a virtual wall or obstructions to make the robot happy. Perhaps there is a small circuit I can add to make it think it has seen a wall or obstruction?

Can anyone help me figure out why my Roombas (Germbots) error out like this.

More - over - I am willing to give a $500.00 finders fee to anyone who comes up with a solution for me. (for real)

iRobot Roomba 560: Roomba 560 Charging Problems

My Roomba 560 stopped charging. Instead the Clean button flashes orange every 2 seconds or so, with a clicking sound. After researching, I bought a new battery online and installed it. It then powered on fine but when I put it on the charging station, it flashed red stating "Charging Error 1." It then reverted to the orange flashing Clean button accompanied by the clicks. I checked and the battery is seated properly. It's also the same whether plugged in directly or in the charging station.

iRobot Roomba 560: Error 5 when using the docking station

Hi, I hope someone can advise me;

I have a Roomba 560 which when I charge it using the docking station after 10/20 mins the Roomba reports an Error 5 code message. It appears to charge perfectly directly from the AC power supply.

I have tried resetting the battery using the “spot” and “dock” button combination a number of times. The only internal issue I have found was some corrosion on one of the battery terminals both on the battery itself and the Roomba. Should I replace the battery?

It works fine cleaning and then returning to the docking station but then reports Error 5 again.

Any advice gratefully received on what the issue might be. I am considering buying a new docking station or AC charge to see if one of those is at fault. If it is the Roomba itself can I repair or replace a part?

Thanks in advance.

iRobot Roomba 560: Beep Error resolution... can’t fix it it’s driving me mad

So...

I’ll try to keep this intelligible.

I’ve been working on my 560 off and on for years. In the last 6 months it does anywhere from an 8 beep to 12 beep error. It moves back and forth in a half circle for around 30-50 seconds and then just quits.

I’ve replaced all electrical and mechanical components except the side brush motor and the main pcb control board. It’s still doing the error.

I’ve reset via the buttons but not via the programming port. Should I replace the main board? Or what am I missing?
