iRobot Roomba 4100: What is the least distructive way to open battery box?

I purchased a set of replacement batteries online but the Roomba battery box seems to be glued shut. I could open it with a Dremel cutting disc but I was wondering if anyone had tips for opening these boxes without damaging them (I consider cutting through them to be damage).

iRobot Roomba 4100: Battery won't charge, red light keeps blinking.

Old battery was dead. Bought a new one. Plugged it in and the red charging light just kept blinking. No charge appeared to be taking place. Thought battery was bad and they sent me another. Same thing. Red light just keeps blinking, no charge.

What am I doing wrong? How do I trick it into charging a new battery?

This is an older red Roomba 4100.

iRobot Roomba 4100: Can I charge my own battery from a power supply?

So my Roomba 4100 won’t charge the battery. So I pulled it out and hooked it up to my bench variable DC power supply. The battery is 14.4VDC, so I set the power supply at 14.5VDC.

So far it is drawing about 0.24 amp. (for the past hour)

Am I doing a bad thing? Is it going to explode or catch fire?

iRobot Roomba 4100: Cleaned machine, still not working?

When I turn my roomba 4100 series on, I get the 4 beeps, which indicates that a wheel motor cannot run. I have cleaned all parts and removed any debris. It still beeps 4 times. There seems to be nothing stuck around the wheels or brushes. Help!

iRobot Roomba 4100: Missing the part above the electric plug-in

I am missing the "whatever" is right above where the charger plugs into the cleaner. What is that and where/how can I find a replacement? When plugging in the charger, no lights come on and it appears not to be charging. Thanks.

iRobot Roomba 4100: Collision sensor not working, Roomba stops with uh-oh only

My Red, early model Roomba 4100 stops and gives the uhh-oh error with no follow up beeps when it bumps into objects mostly from the front or right side of the bumper cowling. After pushing the clean button again it seems to drive forward lunging a few times and then changing direction until it has another center to right side collision. I believe the collision sensors is malfunctioning. I opened and blew out the vacuum 2 days prior and seemed to fix this problem for only 2 uses. I tried opening and blowing compressed air on all the sensors, checked the mechanics, inspected all the wires and connections but can't make the problem go away. I have not been able to find the exact manual for this unit. As such I do not know what all the beeps and flashing lights mean when I run the diagnostics since it seems different from later medel Roombas.

Either how do I diagnose if this is a collision sensor on the nose, or inside where the right collision bar connects by the mother board, or if it's some circuitry problem, or other problem?

Or does iRobot repair these? Or are there services that you can send them away for repair? Or should I just buy the $170 other brand, hepa filter, highly rated robot on Amazon?

iRobot Roomba 4100: Not charging & won't come on.

I bought a new battery & the Roomba lit up & started working in the battery store for a few seconds. I thought the new battery had fixed the problem. I took it home & charged it for almost 24 hrs. It ran for about 10 min & then shut down again. I plugged it in & let it charge overnight & when I got up the next morning the charging light had gone out & now it won't turn on. I plugged it back in but the light still doesn't come on. The green light is blinking on the charger but the light on the Roomba isn't showing anything. My new battery is only 3 days old.
