iPod Touch 6th Generation: My iPod wont turn on.

The other day my iPod was about to die, so I plugged it in and shut it off (Since I use a charger not made by apple, I have to shut it off in order for it to charge). It was charging overnight, or at least that's what I thought. When I woke up in the morning I went to see if it charged but it didn't. It didn't even have the sign that showed that it was dead. Its been almost a week now, and it still wont turn on. I've tried to hold down the home button and the power button to restart it, but that didn't work.

-Here are some details about my iPod

-Almost a year old (will be in December)

-No damage at all

-No water damage

I would really appreciate if someone can help. Thanks you.

iPod Touch 6th Generation: iPod touch 6th Generation boot-looping after battery death.

Hey, so my iPod touch of nearly 5 years just went into boot-loop that is persisting, even after attempting to force-reset. This would totally be fine despite the fact when I plug it into my computer to attempt iTunes, it breaks the loop/shuts down completely even if on the recovery page and does not turn back on until I re-plug it into my adapter. Does anyone have any possible idea or tips on how to fix this? I assume it's a battery issue or maybe I dropped it and it disconnected something? (Please help I have no idea)

Context after proofreading: I've dropped it before and it has automatically rebooted but it's never boot-looped. At all.

iPod Touch 6th Generation: Charges fast and dies fast

Hey I have a iPod touch 6th gen come in for repair

anyways, this is the third one that came in wasn’t charging or turning on… so I decided to change the battery and re solder a new one in. It’ll charge very quickly and drain fast as well. I’m not sure if it’s the batteries I am getting off eBay or if something hardware is at fault on the logic board causing this issue. Is this a U2 IC Failure? Any shops that have this same problem it would be great if you could chime in with a Solution. It also recognizes with the computer and charges at 0.72 volts

iPod Touch 6th Generation: iPod touch turned off randomly and won't turn back on?

I have had my 6th gen Ipod Touch for a little less than a year. it's always worked well and I have had no issues with it until now. I didn't drop it in water, or drop it at all, when the screen suddenly went black while I was using it. the battery was low, but I had not received a 20% warning like I usually do. when I tried to turn it back on it did not respond. I plugged it in, and instead of showing a charging symbol like it typically would when recharging after going completely dead, it remained black. I know the outlet is working, and the charger was working earlier today. why won't it turn on or charge?

iPod Touch 6th Generation: Battery and charging issue

I did a battery replacement on 6 iPod touch 6th gens. All devices power on after replacement but all the batteries still lose battery life within minutes. Also when you plug them in to charge it indicates charging but even after leaving each one charged for an hour or more the battery percentage does not go up whatsoever even if you hard reset the iPod. Tested each battery and all of them were around 3.8v mark. iTunes does recognize the iPods when I plug them into my laptop. The batteries I used were of a lesser expensive type as opposed to say the ifixit batteries which I just purchased to try because I think these would be of a better quality. Has anyone had this issue? I’m guessing since the charger port works and it recognizes iTunes that the charging port would not be suspect. Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

Hello and good afternoon,

i am learning board level repairs and micro soldering. I’ve just replaced an iPod touch 6th gen charge port because it wouldn’t charge or turn on. Anyways, I soldered it on and it’s still not charging or turning on.

I measured pin 10 bottom row of a good working iPod and it’s measuring 1.7volts charging. I measure pin 10 on this iPod and it reads 0. However, if I measure the pin at the end of the bottom row, I’m getting 4.7 volts..

does anyone one have a schematic for the charging dock on the touch 6th gen and what else I should do to solve why it’s not charging or turning on. I also replaced the battery 3 times and still nothing …
