iPod Touch 3rd Generation: iPod Screen Will Not Turn on. Sleep/Wake button is Stuck

I have an Apple iPod 3rd Gen that has a stuck sleep/wake button on the top of the device. The button will not spring back and I know I will need to open up the iPod to take a closer look. The big problem at the moment is the screen has stopped turning on at all. I can connect the iPod to the PC and iTunes will be able to access the device and the music and the movies on it. What I would like to ask is do these symptoms sound like a screen issue or logic board issue? Not sure how to proceed.

Thank you

iPod Touch 3rd Generation: "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod" error

I highly doubt this will actually have an answer because I’ve hardly had any luck with any forum but I’ll take my chances.

I have a 3rd gen iPod touch that I want to use just as a music player. It works perfectly fine. Unfortunately, when I plug it into my computer to sync the songs, iTunes gives the message you see in the title. My only options are to restore the thing or to eject it.

I've tried everything I found in guides - restart your computer, relaunch iTunes, etc (which were all useless, although not as useless as the ones that tell you to use some shoddy and shady unknown computer program to restore it as the final step). My iPod is not jailbroken and has no extra apps - bone stock with a rather empty iOS 5.1.1. The only file on it is a picture of Arisa Matsuda that I put as a joke.

Is this because I'm trying to sync with a computer running 10.13 High Sierra? Or is it something else?

I have an ipod a1318 32gb 3g it's disabled for 24,997,776 minutes.. I can't put it into dfu mode unless I plug it into a wall adapter.. it's bizarre once it's in dfu my computer recognizes it but it doesn't even charge if it's just plugged into my comp.. I have updated my iTunes and put it in dfu numerous times and tried restoring it with the update and restore option also tried with numerous firmware downloads.. I don't care if I lose everything I just want it to work again but don't know the solution I have spent all day reading and trying different techniques and watching YouTube videos with no progress.. it sometimes tells me to plug it into iTunes and I do that but when it reboots to install the update it does nothing and eventually turns off and gets stuck in a reboot.. it was working fine and at the moment I am at the disabled screen again.. any help is appreciated.. ps I'm sorry I don't type much so I hope this is understandable. . Thanks.

iPod Touch 3rd Generation: White Screen of Death after new screen and new battery?

My iPod got damaged in transit after I sold it and sent it off to the person who bought it and they took it out of the packaging and it had a white screen of death, he tried the solutions like "hold the power and volume button" or "restore it" etc

None of them worked, so obviously, it was a hardware issue

He sent it me back and I've just replaced the battery, LCD screen and the glass screen cover and it still has a white screen

Any ideas?

iPod Touch 3rd Generation: Whenever I connect my iPod to iTunes, the program freezes

However it isn't only when the iPod is connected. If I try to go into preferences (to try and disable auto sync) when the iPod is not connected, it'll freeze as well. I'm running Windows 10. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice already. I've ran diagnostics, I've completely wiped the iPod. I don't know what else to do.
iPod Touch 3rd Generation: iPod Touch third generation front panel connector cable

I am unclear on how to disconnect the ribbon cable connecting my front panel to my third generation iTouch. From past experience, I think there is a bracket that needs to be pried up. In the step by step guide, it shows the tool being used to pry at a spot adjacent to the ribbon cable. Is this correct? I think the bracket is under the small grey plastic cover also visible in the picture. I am ordering a replacement screen but want to be clear on what has to be done before I attempt this repair. I already have the cover off, and so have taken a look around. Thanks! Adam
