iPod Touch 2nd Generation: Ripped pad off when removing battery, iPod still good?

So I was trying to desolder the battery terminals and on the very last one, it pulled the pad off the board. Is the board still good? Can I just take the pad off the battery end and reapply it?

Update

I have one that is missing in the middle and the other on the left. I was reading those links and it says something about scraping the green off. Do i scrape the dot off too? Would I just apply solder in the empty spot and tin the down side of the battery connections?

iPod Touch 2nd Generation: iPod dropped in Toilet, damaged by water, won't turn on

I have an iPod touch 2nd gen 16gb. I accidentally dropped it into the toilet. Don't ask why. It worked for 2 minutes, but then stopped working completely.

I cannot bring it to Apple support because of the water damage indicator.

If anyone could help me in the right direction on how to figure out what's wrong, and how it is fixed.

It happened in late April. I put it into rice and blow dryed it. No dice. I got a new iPod, but I would like to see if I could fix my old one. It looks fine from the outside (maybe not the insides of the ports, I don't have the best eyesight).

Thanks for your help

iPod Touch 2nd Generation: Is 2nd. Gen back panel interchangeable with 3rd. Gen?

Hello,

I have a 32 GB 2nd Gen Touch and the insides are basically shot. However, there is engraving on the back panel that I would like to save. Will the 2nd. Gen back panel fit on a 3rd. Gen. I thought since I have to replace all the internal components I might as well update them as much as possible. Would like to use a 64 GB 3rd. Gen if possible. Thank you.
