iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: How to waterproof iPod shuffle?

I am wondering how dificult it would be to make this mp3 player waterproof. There are several companies like Swimmman and H2O friendly that will waterproof a standard iPod shuffle for a premium. What points of failure would need to be closed? I suspect some epoxy would do the trick.

iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: My shuffle keeps making the lock sound and won't let me change songs.

I just found my old Shuffle 4th Gen yesterday and charged it this morning. Earlier I took it off the charger and tried to use it. It works fine, except for the fact that it makes that sound all iPhones make when you lock it. I have to turn it off and back on to change the song, but as soon as I skip to the next song it locks again and won't let me change the song or the volume. I haven't been able to find anyone else with this issue despite 20 minutes of googling different keywords and phrases. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and have an answer or solution? I really want to be able to use this without having to turn it off every time I wanna change the song.

iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: Shuffle charging light turns green then orange again

To put it simply, when I plug my iPod shuffle in to charge, no matter whether it's a fast or slow charge USB wall adapter or a computer, it appears to charge properly. The orange light turns on, and after a couple hours the green light turns on, just as expected. However, trying to leave it charging for the requisite 4 hours to get them to 100%, they turn orange again. I have very little history, and it's possible the battery is just shot? I'd prefer to not replace it yet.

iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: iPod won't turn on or won't charge

It was still in the package when I bought it. I can plug it into my computer, fine. The orange lighting blinks like it's charging, and itunes syncs with it fine, and itunes says theirs mp3s on it loaded fine. I have the latest version on it. I left it plugged in to charge overnight. I have tried restoring it.

But when I unplug it from my computer and flip the switch to shuffle or continuous, nothing happens. No audio and the battery indicator light doesn't even turn on.

iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: I washed my Shuffle in the laundry... is there any hope?

Being the idiot I am, I washed my Shuffle. In the laundry machine. With detergent. While it was still on. And I didn't even notice I had washed it (as in: it was still on) until about an hour after the wash cycle ended.

I left it alone to dry for a week in the open air, but it responds to nothing. What else can I do to save my Shuffle, if saveable?

iPod Shuffle 4th Generation: Will not charge or turn on gets very hot

I have two shuffles. I load one with walking music and one with running music and swap the headphones back and forth. Yesterday my walking shuffle died mid-song. I figured the battery died. I switched to my running shuffle and it died in the very next song. Again - since I use them both equally I figured the battery was dead. Came home and plugged one into my mac and went to take a shower. Came back an hour later and the shuffle was very hot and I saw it wasn't recognized by iTunes. I tried unplugging and replugging and no recognition. Same thing with the second shuffle. Tried a wall socket - nothing. No charge, no green or orange light, and no iTunes recognition with either of them. Tried resetting each - nothing. The nearest Apple store is 2.5 hours from me. Anyone have any idea at all what I can do? Seems odd that both went dead and are unresponsive. Maybe I should check to see if there was an EMP or something! Seriously - any help at all is appreciated!
