I live in Brazil. I have an Ipod shuffle 2nd generation that is not working anymore. Any chance to fix it? Any person in Brazil?

When I plug it into the Air USB port, its contents are readable and replaceable. But when I install new songs/synch, it won’t play. I’m not sure but does not seem to take a charge. New battery? Logic board? Both?

My 1st gen ipod shuffle 512 mb (not hp just normal) won’t play music when turned on, it just gives me a green light (with headphones plugged in) and i know i have music on it so it should be playing. when plugged into the computer it doesn’t register properly, with a bootex file and iPod_Control being pale white in the menu, showing that it is a copy pasted file. i don’t have itunes because it won’t download properly so i won’t for now (i want to download either 10.6.3 or 11.4 so i can actually use it with ios 6)

I was looking to see if anyone might have any tips to minimize damage.

I have a number of super thin tools along with a mini iSesamo, so I am able to open it, but not without causing a lot of cosmetic damage to the area around the seam.

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: When plugged into charger I get a orange, green then 3 orange blinks?

when plugging ipod shuffle onto wall outlet, computer or mac i get 1 orange blink 1 green blink and then 3 orange blinks then stays blank with no lights. The green blink happens quickly then changes to orange. I have already tried replacing battery but still same issue. The device does not appear on itunes or as a device when plugged in

Hi All,

I recently obtained an iPod Shuffle 1st Gen with a bad battery and a missing hold switch cover. I have replace the battery and it works well but am struggling to locate a white plastic hold switch. It looks like ifixit used to sell these but they are now out of stock. I’ve also had no luck on sites such as eBay.

Does anybody have one of these parts spare they could send me?

Problem solved! I managed to locate the missing part in the shipping envelope, it must have fallen off while in transit! I thought it was always missing the part but I had it all along…

On the topic of replacement parts though, I’ve only been able to find batteries for these units. Apart from eBay have people had any luck locating spares such as memory boards? - I’m tempted to try upgrading the memory capacity of my model!

iPod Shuffle 3rd Generation: iPod Keep on asking for restore when connected to PC.

Hi,

I have one iPod shuffle 3rd generation 2GB variant. When i connect my iPod to PC, it is asking for restore. It is giving error " iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes". Then i tried to restore it to factory settings. It is showing restore done. But after restore also it is giving the same error. I am not able to sync music with my iPod.

It goes to lock mode automatically as soon as I start it and after then no button works. Also holding play/pause button for three seconds doesn't help....that also does not work.

I have restored it also 2-3 times but still it has the same problem . what should I do ?

Helou, please help me.

My ipod A1204, if I wanna play the music, is not working.

When I connect the device using USB cable to the computer, I can put the songs in, the media player play the music from Iphone, but when I disconect the device from computer, insert hearing aids, push play buttom, the device star blinkig green, orange, green, orange and nothing more. No music...

Whats wrong, or what I have to do...?

Seemingly completely at random my iPod Shuffle's clip became loose. It won't clip onto anything now. Does anyone know how to fix this? I use it for sports constantly so it's a big issue

If anyone could offer any assistance I'd be really greatful!
