iPod Classic 7th Generation: Why is my iPod not increasing battery while charging but still works?

Hi, I bought an iPod Classic 7, I noticed while charging my iPod it didn't increase in battery after leaving it on charging for several hours with a 3rd party cable that came with it. I tried several 5v bricks and even my computer but the battery would just stay the same. I plugged it out and watched it drain in about 3-4 hours playing songs before the 'please charge your ipod' I connected it to charging and it showed that boot up screen instantly, showed that it's charging but the battery indicator is not increasing. The person I got it from said that it was a new battery. I was also able to sync 600 songs with the same 3rd party cable in under 3 minutes.

iPod 5th Generation (Video): Device drawing too much power but not charging

Got a used ipod at the thrift a while back, and when I got it, it would charge fine but not sync to the computer.

I found out that the charge port had bent pins at the data transfer outs. I had someone help me to replace it and the ipod worked fine for about a month, even the battery it came with was holding a charge for a long time.

Now out of nowhere it won't charge anymore. Neither on Wall or Computer USB. When I connect it to my PC, I get a windows notification saying that there was a power surge at the port because the device is drawing too much power and telling me to disconnect it immediately.

I tested different cables and even replaced the battery with a new one. So I can safely rule out those two things.

I can't imagine it being the charge port again since I just replaced it, unless the soldering wasn't perfect and something became disconnected.

What could the problem be? And what components could I test for voltage on the logic board to see where the problem could be, starting from the pins on the charge port? There are no schematics available I think so I don't know where the electricity runs through. I know there is like a fuse and an IC for controlling the flow but I'm also not sure which one it is.

iPod 5th Generation (Video): iPod won't charge

I bought a used Ipod Classic 5 about two months ago. The seller put a new battery in as well. I have been using it fine for about two months now. Charging via wall and/or computer worked fine. I haven't used it for about two weeks now and the last time I used it I did until the battery was completely drained.

I went to charge it on my wall outlet now and it wouldn't show any signs of life.
I waited a good 2 hours and still nothing happened.
Whenever I tried turning it on, it would just show the apple logo for a brief second and then shut off again.

Something weird to note is that after nothing happening via wall charge I tried charging it on my computer and when I plugged it in I got a windows notification for a USB power surge, telling me to immediately remove the device from USB because it was drawing too much power.

What could be happening? And how do I fix it?

iPod Classic 7th Generation: Battery replacement still not working

I have an ipod classic 7th gen that has had a bad battery for years, haven't used it all for at least 10 years. I recently opened it and put a replacement battery in it. I plugged it in and it immediately turned on and quite quickly showed a full battery. Once unplugged it will immediately show that it needs to be plugged in. I thought maybe it was a dead replacement battery so I ordered another from a different vendor. Same issue with the second battery. I then tried taking the new battery out and plugged it in without any battery connected and had the same issue. Just wondering what could be causing it. When plugged into wall it works and looks fine. When plugged into a computer it said it's charging but after 24 hours still shows as dead after unplugged. Any help would be great.

iPod 5th Generation (Video): Why does my iPod stutter/lag while playing some songs?

I got an iPod video 30gb model in the fall and a little bit into having it, before upgrading anything, I noticed that during playback some songs would begin to lag a little bit. There'd be a sudden stutter in playback and then the stuttering would continue for the rest of the song and sometimes into the next song. I figured that this was mostly an issue with the hard drive (which only had mp3s on it), and I thought that, like the answer on another similar question here suggested, it would go away when I replaced the storage.

About a month ago, I upgraded it to an iFlash Quad with 512gb worth of microSDs. When I did this and put in my files again, I had all the lossless files in my collection converted to ALAC so they could play correctly on the stock OS synced through iTunes. However, the issue of some songs lagging has persisted, especially when using the iPod through Ford Sync in my car. I thought it only really happened during longer songs but recently it's been doing it on some songs as short as 2.5 minutes. Is there any way to fix this that isnt just trying to replace the storage again?
