iPod Nano 7th Generation: Device seems to be working internally, but the screen won't turn on?

My iPod Nano 7th Gen went through the wash and dryer. I placed it in rice for several weeks before charging it and attempting to turn it on. After doing this, the screen wouldn't turn on. When it's plugged into the computer, iTunes recognizes the iPod and shows what songs are on it. When I hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button, the computer recognizes that I've reset the iPod. This makes me think that the water damage only damaged the screen, because the buttons are working, and iTunes seems to be able to add and remove songs from the device. Would it be beneficial to try replacing the screen? Would this fix the problem, or should I assume the water damage has ruined more than just the screen?

iPod Nano 7th Generation: Stuck in reboot Cycle

So I have this Nano 7th Generation that is in great condition, but is stuck in the reboot cycles. I have factory reset the device several times but to no avail, as soon as I plug it back in it starts the reboot cycle. It wont connect to iTunes unless I have it in recovery mode. When I do have it connected to iTunes it indicates the battery is fully charged and yet, when not plugged in the Nano will not turn on AT ALL. Only plugging it in will activate anything on the Nano, and that being the reboot cycle. Any advice for me?

iPod Nano 7th Generation: Song titles play at random and songs skip Headphone Jack?

My Nano 7th generation has a mind of its own. It skips songs, plays song titles, and changes songs seemingly at random. When I move the headphones near the input jack, the random things happen. When I'm walking with the Nano, slight movements from my headphones seem to start this chain of events. Songs don't play through their entirety, and some song titles get read by the automated voice in the middle of the song playing. I'm afraid there may be something wrong with the headphone jack, but I can't be sure.

What I've tried:

-Resetting to factory settings (wiping all music via ITunes)

-Turned settings on and off from the Nano menus

-Different headphones

-Different cases and playing Nano in and out of cases

-Calling Apple (it's out of warranty, so they aren't that much help)

Thoughts? Is it time for a new one? I've had it less than 2 years, but from past experience, that seems to be the life span of Apple products.

iPod Nano 7th Generation: My screen has a weird purplish tint on half of it and it is spreading.

My iPod Nano was in the bottom of my lunchbox with a few containers and a quite heavy water bottle. There was no water in the lunchbox and the water bottle was sealed very tight. For some reason, there is a purplish tint that started at the bottom corner but then spread to fill half the screen. I might upload a picture so everyone can see the damage. The screen and touchscreen still works and there is no visible damage to the glass but I would like to see if anyone knows what is going on and if it is repairable/replaceable.

Thanks for your help!
