I was listening to my ipod when I put it down for a second.When i went to listen to it again but it was shut off I tried to turn it back on with no luck so I assumed it was dead i tried to charge it but no luck.But it was working fine before that.

When I picked up my Nano after a year of non-use, the battery was completely dead (the battery did hold a good charge from what I remember before). I plugged my Nano into my computer, and Windows showed a "USB Device was not recognized" bubble. The Nano itself managed to boot up after a few seconds. However the battery bar shows a tiny red sliver rather than a charging sign and the backlight does not come on. As soon as I disconnect, the iPod dies. And trust me, I've tried multiple computers/USB cables/wall chargers.

So there's my symptoms. Any suggestions would be awesome. I'm quite clueless at the moment. It would seem like the battery's dead, since that seems to be common for an iPod at this age. However I don't understand why the iPod can't sync if it's only the battery that's dead. I mean, laptops can function perfectly fine on AC with the battery out.

iPod Nano 2nd Generation: Why is there a "do not disconnect" logo on my screen

We just bought a used iPod and there is no booklet with it. When I plugged it in to my computer via a USB connector there is now a sign blinking and saying "do not disconnect". Is there a problem???

The repair instructions show how to disconnect the click-wheel/headphone jack assembly FROM the logic board, but do not explain how to reconnect the click wheel assembly to the logic board. Can anyone tell me how to reconnect it when you put the insides back inside the case assembly?

My nano 2g suddenly started acting weird a few days ago. It turns on, but only if I press the wheel hard. I can reset it and restore it, but the middle button does not work. I can reset the nano by holding down the MENU part. If I press hard, I can get the menus to change, but I cannot control how the menu changes. Also, the wheel does not respond to touch. I have reset, restored, and all of the troubleshooting offered on the Apple website for nano 2g. How can I make sure that what I need is a new case assembly or click wheel assembly (if either is available any more)? I don't want to order parts I don't need. thanks in advance!

I just purchased an iPod nano 4g 2nd generation for my daughter to listen to music (So I don’t have to lend her my phone all the time), but I can’t put all the songs from my library onto the iPod. I can only move the ones I have purchased or gotten from CDs. I subscribe to Apple Music and I would like this device to be authorized to have access to the music too. I am assuming that it won’t work because the iPod is never connected to the internet? I was just hoping that I could add it as an authorized device and then I could listen to any songs that I downloaded from my computer (I have access to these songs on my computer and my iPhone).
