It worked until recently when it showed the file with the ipod/support website. It's been 2 hours since I put the Ipod on the cable, Itunes asked to restore the Ipod right away. I haven't seen it restart, just says Do Not Disconnect on the screen. Is this a sign I didn't put it together correctly?

I'm using a PC and the new drive is 32gb.

After it was attached to the PC all night, no change. When I unplugged it, the screen became a language selection screen. Since it's out of the case I can't use the click wheel. Plugged it back in and the PC recognized it as an Ipod, but Itunes didn't ask to restore it nor did it come up as a device in Itunes.
