iPod In-Ear Headphones: Internal wire pulled out, 1 channel dead.

My headphone's left channel was dead so i opened up the lead end (the one which goes to the iPod) of the headphone and found a misplaced green wire. the wire seems to be a bundle of thin, laminated filaments and silk. Please see the image:

http://www.4shared.com/file/193014786/7b...

The wire should be at the encircled area (according to me). But it doesnt seem that it was soldered there. Rather it looks like it was pressed and held there by the string. So my questions:

1) Should it be soldered over there(i mean can the wire be soldered)

2) exactly what part of the wire is a conductor? i tried brushing and pressing it against the lead but i wasn't able to get any sound.

thanks.

iPod In-Ear Headphones: Can the remote on these headphones be repaired?

I just recently purchased Apple's in-ear headphones. Not the ones pictured here, but the ones with the rubber noise canceling buds. I wore them in the rain the other day and now the microphone isnt working and the volume + and - buttons are not working. Oddly enough, the Play-Pause center button works just fine. Being that these are pretty expensive and cannot be returned due to my negligence, I wanted to know if this tiny remote can be opened and cleaned up?

iPod In-Ear Headphones: How do I fix a broken volume button?

On the plastic piece on the cord of the right ear bud, there is the control piece that lets you control the volume and the play/pause. The button that turns the volume up is not working, so I need to either figure out a way to fix it, or at least remove the top part of the remote.

iPod In-Ear Headphones: Left side way lower than Right side

Hey all. I have an iPhone 7 and all of the suddenly the left side of the earbud is lower than the right. I already checked the accessibility and everything, but it's not the settings. I've tested it on another Apple product and it's still the same. Any way to make it work normally or am I just out of luck?

iPod In-Ear Headphones: How to fix earbud board with lost continuity?

So I’ve run into a problem. I was dismantling some in-ear headphones for a project and the first one worked out fine but the second has an issue.

There are 4 terminals on the board. All but the bottom right one (in the images) have continuity with each other in the working driver. The driver that is having trouble has lost continuity with the bottom right terminal. I didn’t treat it any differently than the first one but something must have happened. The only thing that makes any sense to me is perhaps I got it too hot when desoldering the terminal.

If this is the case, is there any way to fix it? Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot any further? If anyone has an idea about how I might salvage this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Interior of not working driver:

https://ibb.co/c0QmKm

Exterior of not working driver:

https://ibb.co/mEQWkR

Wiring of the working driver:

https://ibb.co/mvDj5R

Please note these aren’t actually Apple headphones but from what I’ve seen of the internals of the Apple ones, these are similar.

Thanks in advance :)
