iPhone XS Max: iPhone XS Max Taptic Engine screw stuck - Step 37 battery replacement

I am following the iPhone XS Max Battery Replacement guide and am stuck on Step 37. I cannot remove the bottom 1.9 mm Phillips screw securing the Taptic Engine. I have tried applying extra downward pressure and using a rubber band for grip, but it still won't budge. The screw head is starting to look stripped. What are the best next steps to remove this specific tiny screw without damaging the surrounding components or the battery?

iPhone XS Max: iPhone XS Max restarts when it's not in use.

The problem is that my iPhone XS Max restarts when it's not in use. When I'm using it, or when something like music is playing in the background, it works fine. However, the moment the display is off and nothing is running in the background, it restarts. Another thing I’ve noticed is that it heats up very quickly, even during normal usage.

For context, the battery was recently replaced at an Apple Authorized Service Center, and the battery health is at 100%.

iPhone XS Max: It is the battery cell or BMS that is damaged?

Hello,

I change the battery of an iphone xs max, and at first, after spot weld the old bms to new battery cells and reprogramate (with i2c i6s) the iphone did not show the 100% (on the i2c reading was reseted). Also did reset the battery health by applying an none original on iphone.

IOS was updated to date and nothing (17.5.1).

On the other day i wanted to try again, but the battery was dead and i recharge and the phone keeps turn on and off right away. Only with the fixed battery, with the none original one is ok.

So my question is, how can i know if is the bms that was damaged during the spot weld or the battery cells?

Thanks everyone for the help.

Hi all,

I tried to replace my display on an old XS Max. Unfortunately, I broke 2 flex cables... (marked with green arrows on the photo).

I understand the lower one is that of the FaceID/Front camera. Can I replace that one, is that possible?

Also, what is the upper flex cable that I broke as well and can I replace it as well?

Phone boots up (I gotta say, the display is really, really, bad)...

Kind regards and thank you!
