iPhone SE: iPhone SE front camera mic static.

I recently had an iPhone SE in for repair, the front camera microphone was faulty I did advise her to go back to apple with it being under warranty but she asked me to check it for her as she was unable to go back to one of their stores. I tested a new front camera flex but had the same issue (static noise) tested about 4 parts with no joy. I also have an SE and tested my front camera flex on the device and it worked fine, these parts were for the 5S but when I ordered them the description told me that it was compatible with the SE. Just wondering if anybody else is having the same issue and if they managed to repair it?

iPhone SE: My phone is not charging and is stuck on 1%

my iphone se is not charging and it stays stuck at 1% battery with the charger pluged.

when i remove the charger it stays on for 20 seconds, but it's moving verry verry slow, it s like the battery not giving enough power.. after the phone shuts off, is trying to turn on by himself, apearing the apple logo and disapearing until probably drains all the remaining battery..

when i plug the charge, the apple logo apears and disapears couple of times and after 2-3 minutes the operating system starts normaly with the 1% battery(probably the battery is charging a little bit).

there are times when the phone starts with 100% battery but when i remove the charger, the same problem, it s shuting down after 20 seconds

the battery is new, but it s an aftermarket.. could it be something else beside the battery?

iPhone SE: iPhone SE NFC antenna not working after housing replacement

I replaced my iPhone SE into a clear plastic custom housing shell that i bought online. For picture reference on what i'm even talking about, here is a photo. Everything on the phone functions perfectly, except for the NFC antenna.

I didn't notice this for many months because i rarely ever use apple pay. But i just decided to today and failed to get it working. Everything else on the flex cable works perfectly (volume rockers, mute switch, flash, power button, & vibrator), but nfc doesn't seem to function at all.

Does having a plastic shell inhibit the ability to use NFC? Did i not move a certain part over? Any ideas on how to trouble shoot?

iPhone SE: Water damage, is my iPhone beyond repair?

My iPhone SE was not completely submerged in water, it was face down in a puddle and now my phone is damaged. It still sort of works, I can still use it and it still connects to wifi with a slightly distorted screen. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognise the SIM card and the speakers don't work although the vibrate function still works. I want to get this repaired as soon as possible and plan to take it in to a professional repair place but I'm really worried that it's broken beyond all repair, especially after hearing that water damage is not covered in my phone's warranty and the reputation of iphones breaking.

Is my phone beyond repair or can it be saved?

Thanks in advance!

iPhone SE: No display after 5s screen on SE

Hi, I have a problem with iphone SE screen replacements! I fitted a 5s screen last week, upon testing, the LCD was very fuzzy, like static, so I thought it was a faulty screen, I tryed the original broken screen and it worked, so I tryed another new screen and same problem, I then tryed the original broken screen and now the display doesn't work, I can hear the phone but no picture. I have since fitted both of the "faulty" screens into iphone 5s's and they are working fine. I had another SE in today with a brand new batch of 5s screens and the exact same problem happened, tryed 2, very fuzzy LCD, original one not working. I did not screw the screens in, only clipped in to test, has anyone ever had this? Is there a new revision of screens that are for SE and backward compatible with 5s? I'm stumped.

iPhone SE: Can an SE be moved into a 5s housing?

I'm wondering if i can transfer all of my SE components into a custom 5s housing. I've looked around quite for other people that have asked the question, and it usually no since the iPhone SE logic board is supposedly slightly bigger.

However i've seen cases where people say theyve put an iPhone SE into a 5s housing shell anyway. Furthermore online there are 5s/SE custom housings, even though they aren't interchangeable?

I've looked at a lot of pictures online of the housings and i cant find any real differences. I might just dismantle my personal 5s and SE to see for myself.

iPhone SE: SE front camera mic not working

Hello everyone and iFixit team I'm making this post so everyone can see the mistake every supplier is doing and making techs not able to solve the front camera recording or talking to Siri after replacing the front camera proximity cable.

All the SE front camera proximity sensor everyone has been buying are 5s is not the same! The front camera will work proximity sensor will work and receiver will work but the microphone is different. Take a look at the picture 5s is on the left and SE original on the right this is why is static or mute while recording from the front camera or Siri not listening.

iFixit team tested so you can believe me.

I dried it off and used it for a few minutes, and then plugged it in (bc it died, bc it had a low battery when i dropped it) . The next morning it said it was only at 1% battery, but it worked for several hours. It was searching for service (it still is) I kept it in rice for 2ish days, and the battery was still not working right, and searching for service. It's been about 5 days more or less since it was in water. The Touch ID feature, as well as the microphone is also not working. I opened the sim card tray and the LCI sticker was still white.
iPhone SE: iPhone SE not turning on, charging or responding to iTunes!

Hey guys,

So my phone had to be placed properly in order to charge which was because it had some fluff in the charging port (I only found that out after it stopped working and I cleaned it).

I dropped my iPhone SE about 2 weeks ago and the very top of the screen where the camera is at cracked and some of the glass fell out so I can see the camera, the little speaker thing and the thing which connects the screen to the phone I think but the phone worked fine with no issues.

I was at my friends house and we were chilling. My phone died and I left it on charge in one of his rooms which was freezing cold and when I left it there before we went to bed it was charging.

In the morning I woke up and I went to get my phone and it wasn't turning on.

So I got home and I cleaned the charging port tried charging it for a few hours and nothing really happened. I watched vids and I tried doing a reset and what not, holding both buttons and nothing helped. I tried connecting it to my PC and iTunes just didn't react to that.

So could you please tell me what could be wrong with it because I really don't wanna give it to someone to repair because it will cost me a lot, just wanna try and do it myself.

Thank you!!
