I am working on an iPhone 8 Plus. The problem is:

- The phone powers on and backlight works, but the display shows no picture.

- I noticed that some capacitors near the display connector are missing or damaged.

- There is also a thin jumper wire already installed on the connector, but I am not sure which signal line it is repairing.

I don’t have the original capacitors available right now.

I need help with:

1. Identifying which capacitor(s) are critical for the display image.

2. Explaining exactly which jumper is for which line (signal / power).

3. Providing a step-by-step repair guide with clear marks / indicators, so I can follow under a microscope safely.

4. Suggestions for a temporary solution if capacitors are not available, without causing further damage.

I have attached two pictures showing:

- The display connector

- The existing jumper and the missing capacitors

I kindly request:

I found my old phone and i want to use it as secondary phone , i connected it to my new up to date macbook and i tried to restore / update it . It dowloands it and after the phone abruptly restars again in recovery mode.

My iPhone 8+ suddenly only showed an unstable half screen (vertically) so I could only see the right side. Bought a new one from iFixit. I have experience replacing these so I have some confidence I am doing it correctly.

The new one is DOA. Put the old one back and it works but with the same problem as before. Put the new one in for a second time, nothing. Put the old one back in again and it works as before.

Did the volume up/down power trick and held for two minutes — nothing. Any ideas?

What needs replacement

iPhone 8 Plus: Endless loop after replacement of lightning

After replacing lightning connector, battery , display and wifi modul the iphone is stuck in endless loop.

Restore through pc works fine, but afterwards the phone goes back to endless loop.

I had to change the front camera and display cable cause i damaged it at first. Also had to change the wifi modul cause i damaged that too.

What i tried:

Disconnecting battery and plugging iphone : still endless loop

Disconnecting lightning connector and startin phone with battery: still loop

What might go wrong:

Pins? I accidentally bent the lightning connector ones but gently nudged them back in the right shape.

Malfunctioning parts? I bought brand new from shop.

Any ideas what might i be able to do to fix this?

i have an iphone 8+ that has been very reliable. lately, wifi stopped working. in fact the wifi button is always in the off position and won't slide on. bluetooth doesn't have a button any more just the "i'm thinking" spinner where the on/off button is. it does this whether in airplane mode or not.

i've upgraded IOS. i've done reset network settings, reset all and erase all data (starting from OOTB). nothing seemed to work.

i opened the phone and removed the wifi bluetooth antenna - and amazingly the wifi started working, albeit for just one day. put back the original wifi and bluetooth antennas and same result (nothing). put in different (known good) wifi and bluetooth antenna, again, same result (nothing).

any thoughts on what to try next?
