I have iphone 7 (A1660) with (NO service) problem , I tryed use ipcc files but carrier still Not Available, so I update to IOS 12 and now I stuck with activate issue(there is still no service,Even with use different sim cared), it saying Unable to Activate An update is required to activate your iphone. image below

I Noted when I eject the tray of sim cared, my phone do’s not say (No SIM card inserted ).

I have a iPhone 7 that's dead. Drawing 0.0 when connecting charger. Connecting to battery it's Stuck at 0.18a after pressing power button.

The board looking like a big rainbow.

The battery swap went well. I followed iFixit’s instruction very closely and cautiously. Three hours later yesterday morning, the phone worked. No screws lost or mis-inserted, no ribbons damaged…all went smooth. The phone worked so I charged the battery to 100% for the 1^st step of recalibration. The health monitor said the battery capacity was where it should be with a new battery.

I then ran down the battery to 0% yesterday afternoon (2^nd recalibration step). Again, all appeared fine and all apps worked. I then plugged the phone back in for the 3^rd recalibration step. At some point, I got (what I think is called the) Black Screen of Death. I then unplugged the phone, hit the Vol down and Side button, and the phone came back on, no problems. Content, I then let it charge all night to 100%.

Awoke this morning and the phone was good. I unplugged it, the battery was still at 100% and it was that way for a good chunk of time. Family was gathering in the living room, so I started Bluetooth for some music. The music worked, so I left to get the dogs out.

I came back after that 1 min absence to find the phone dead. And it is still dead. There is no power, even when plugged into an outlet. No home button works. I can’t get it to work on the iTunes on my computer. It is effectively dead.

After several searches online and through this forum, I reseated the new battery and tried to charge it. I even reseated the old battery and tried to charge it, but no luck. I also reseated all of the internal ribbon cables that I moved for the initial battery replacement. Nothing is working.

Any suggestions for what I might consider next? And thanks!

So I deleted my finger prints, and then added new ones on. It worked for an hour or so and now It just doesn't take anymore. It's denying my fingerprint either, It just does nothing.

I bought two iphone 7 as second hand and i find the following trouble: quick battery discharge (half a day autonomy). I thought that both batteries were dead but the result with battery life was a 75% capacity score.

Of course , complete restore as new phone as been done with last ios and battery drain is still present. But what is the most surprising is that the battery discharge occurs also when the phones are switch off. And not a few percent drop around 40% drop for twelve around with the phone completely off. A test with apple staff mentioned that battery was quite good.

And this with 2 different phones (seems ok inside, water indicators are clean) and no physical damage except some scratch on screen. Any help ?

By the way i have tested ios 11.3 to get the new tools related to battery but i didn’t find it...

recently i changed an iphone 7 screen with a new one. The problem with the new screen is that the touch ID is working but the home button is not. When i "press" the button doesnt do anything. I thought that the flex on the screen it could be faulty. I tried with different screen but the problem stills there. So i decided to put everything back on the old screen which is the original screen. The problem still the same. Does anyone has any idea why this happend? It is very weird. The home button flex is not damaged, i checked it already with microscope. Before of the first changing of the screen the button was working fine.
