iPhone 6s Plus: Recently replaced battery, top right of phone is getting warm

Hi, I recently replaced the battery in my iPhone 6s Plus. The battery works fine so far after a little testing, but the top right of the phone (what I presume is around the area where the screen cables connect) is getting pretty warm after about 5 seconds of use. I'm just wondering what it could be and if I need to replace the logic board. The home button, digitizer, and camera all work fine.

iPhone 6s Plus: Good supplier of iPhone 6s plus batteries (UK)?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good supplier of iPhone 6s plus batteries? I got an iPhone 6s plus that needs a battery replacement as the original drains a lot faster now even on standby.

I saw that iFixit stock a battery for this phone and I was about to buy it. However, the high £12 postage cost put me off. It brought the cost up to around £35. I ended up looking elsewhere and took a gamble on Amazon. It costed £18. Unfortunately, it did not pay off as the phone regularly reboots and doesn't properly charge.

I put the original battery back in just to make sure no damage occurred to the phone during disassembly/reassembly. That one behaves fine with no reboots and charges all the way to 100%. So it's clear the battery I bought is bad.

I'm hoping that someone knows of a good supplier that ships to the UK so I don't have to order multiple batteries from multiple places hoping they work.

Appreciate any help.

iPhone 6s Plus: New xcap battery not charging

I recently bought an xcap battery from injured gadgets and installed it on the 6s Plus. The phone turned on and charged fine so I fully shut it off and let it sit for a week or 2. Now when I go to plug the phone in it doesn’t draw any power and does not turn on. This same thing happened with the same brand of battery on the same phone. Both the battery before and this one had the same problem. Plugging the phone into a amp meter shows that the voltage drops from 5.25 volts to 5.23 volts but no amps are being drawn. Does anyone know of any solutions that don’t require replacing the battery? Thanks.

iPhone 6s Plus: I erased my iPhone, but I can't get passed the "hello" screen.

I dropped my phone earlier today, and after that the top half of the screen was unresponsive. I kept trying to tap on things on the top half of the screen, for example, my passcode but I was unable to, which resulted in me having to erase my iphone. When it powered back on, I tried using the power off trick to bypass the hello screen, since my home button was also broken. But since the button I needed to swipe to power the phone off was at the top of the screen, I am unable to power off my phone. Any advice is appreciated!

iPhone 6s Plus: Screen is pitch black and will not work.

I just got my sisters old iPhone 6 last night and it was dead so I had it on the charger all night. However when Tried to turn it on this morning the screen was black. The home button vibrates whenever I press it but I don’t see anything. I can also hear typing when I touch the screen as if I were putting the password in but the screen is still black. I believe the brightness may be all the way down and that may be what’s wrong with it but if it is, is there any way I could get into it and fix that without iTunes or anything, because it has not been used in idk how long so I don’t know any of her passwords or anything. Would I have to take it to the apple store or something or just get a whole new phone?

iPhone 6s Plus: Why does the ifixit replacement battery not work?

I have replaced the oem battery with an ifixit battery. The phone does not turn on and there is no indication that the battery is working. Am I missing something? I tried charging the phone for a few minutes but nothing happens. Atleast the old oem battery just shows a dead battery symbol. I am concerned that the ifixit battery is defective. Thank you for any help.

iPhone 6s Plus: LCD “grounds” and ceases to work ONLY when assembled!?!

Replaced LCD on iPhone 6SPlus. Final test before joining and reassembling to reinsert iPhone “panty-lock” screws adjacent to lighting port. All checks out great; digitizer reading on all points, volume up, volume down, Home button check and it works*. All cameras are a green light, speaker, loudspeaker, microphone, and a partridge in a pear tree. All is good, Operation was a success, and once again I declare myself “The Most Brilliant Man Alive!” and I casually close the phone up, screwe it shut and press home……

…..crickets. Screen BACKLIGHT was working, audio was on, etc. The screen’s information was not being displayed at all. No signal. Power? Yes. Signal, No. (just to be clear, by “signal”, I mean “I can’t see a thing on the screen except dark backlight glow”)

I reopened it. I decided to check once more before disconnecting battery and Digi assembly…… A bright and brilliant HIGH Def screen greeted me with a smile and a twinkle that was specifically preprogrammed for me by apple technicians. (It helps me cope with many complexes. Don’t judge me). I found no discrepancies, and I was unable to manually trigger a signal cutoff anywhere by probing with a nylon probe. Upon assembly, my hopes and dreams for any justice in this cruel cruel world ended when I couldn’t get that demon-possessed lcd to come on until I separated the print panel again. Well, to make a long story a few lines longer; The point of contact that I have narrowed it down to is top left corner. Whether the rest of the phone is seated or not, when I seat the top right corner, the signal of info stops. The lcd IS POWERED (I see the glow in low light). But nothing else can be seen. I can’t find the short. Anyone have a favor they can use to figure this one out? Maybe you have a cousin who knows someone that roots through the garbage of someone who cuts the hair of a genie (yeah, you know; GENIE. 3 wishes, etc.), and wants to loan me a wish towards figuring out this phone? Much obliged….

iPhone 6s Plus: Following replacement screen, touch doesn't work?

I changed the smashed screen on a 6S plus. Before exchanging the screen I tested the damaged one and it was fine in terns of touch response.

After I changed the screen over for the new one, the phone powers on, and displays fine, the home button works fine, but the touch response does not work at all. Suspecting a potential faulty screen, I exchanged back to the damages screen and it is also the same (powers up etc ,displays but touch response not working at all). I've tried hard reset etc and nothing resolves it. I've inspected the logic board plugs and the pins look aligned and fine. Any ideas?

iPhone 6s Plus: Replaced iPhone 6s+ screen has backlight but no image, original works.

I cracked my iPhone 6s+ screen and so bought a replacement from iFixit. When installed the phone turns on but the screen shows no image, backlight however is functional. Reseating the connectors + phone reset did not help but installing the old cracked screen immediately worked every time.

Thinking I got a dud screen I got iFixit to send me a replacement, but the new screen has the EXACT same issue. Phone turns on, backlight ok, no image. Old screen still works 100% fine. And yes the screen was installed with the battery connector removed.

At this point I have no idea what is going on as there is obviously no board damage and I can’t be installing the connectors wrong if every time I put the old screen back in it works, which I have done multiple times. I’m almost willing to just give up but if anyone has any ideas that’d be great.
