Hi ,

Guys I replace my battery because it was draining fast

but I notice it still draining fast , better than original battery but still draining fast

so I was thinking maybe the new battery is defective

So I replace battery again

and still it's draining fast !!!

What is the problem ?

Is there something else will make my battery draining fast ??

I know the 6s is pretty irrelevant at this point but I’m running into an issue. The phone seems to be charging and dying at a very fast rate. It seems to only deplete while using it though. I have rust replaced the battery and it says life is at 100% but nothing has changed. I think this may have started when I used one of those new fast iPhone chargers that come with the 11. Is this a U2 ic replacement?

My iPhone fell in the toilet only for about 10 seconds. I took it out immediately and put it in rice overnight. I woke up to see that one of my cousins played on it while I was sleeping because it was out of the rice. I was getting notifications because I could hear it, but the screen was completely black. I left it in rice for another day and the screen still is black and I can here notifications and calls. Can anyone help me fix this

iPhone 6s: Won't turn on after screen replacement

Ok I replaced my Iphone 6s screen today. At first before I took off the old screen the worked despite the digitizer and lcd being broken. So I took off the old screen and put the home button and everything back in the correct way. The new screen won't show anything. When I plug it into my macbook it asks for permission and to confirm it on the screen. Does that mean the phone is still on and I just can't see anything on the screen? I've tried the holding down the power button to reset it that didn't do anything. I've tried holding down power and home to no avail. I've tried shining a light at it to see if the backlight was messed up the screen doesn't show anything. Any other suggestions?

iPhone 6s: Why did the new IFIXIT battery swell up in less than a year?

I ordered a replacement battery kit from IFIXIT for my iPhone 6S in April 2023. The installation went OK and the instructions were easy to follow. The phone had some use after the new battery was fitted, but recently has been mostly idle. It was left switched off for a while, then connected to power to re-charge. I now find that the battery has swelled a lot and is bending the screen outwards by about 5mm. Is is usual for the IFIXIT battery to fail so soon?

Hello everyone,

My iPhone 6s fell this past weekend and since then has been stuck in a boot loop (apple logo appears and disappears) whenever it is plugged in to an outlet.

Ultimately I'd like to pull the data out of my phone via iTunes backup, but the problem I'm facing is that my iPhone does not seem to boot up when plugged in to my PC's usb port.

Anyone have an idea how I can enact atleast a bootloop on a PC or get my turned off iPhone recognized in iTunes?

I tried finding answers via search, but nothing seems to touch on the issue of my iPhone not booting when plugged in to a usb port on the PC.

Hi! I ordered a replacement screen for my broken iphone from China and i replaced the screen succesfully. Seems to work fine but the bottom part near the home button doesnt close properly. Im afraid to press it too much because i am afraid it will break. I was able to screw back the pentalope screws but the corners wont go in. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe the dimensions of the replacement screen are off a bit?

iPhone 6s: Motherboard is dead- how can I have my data/pics back?

Hi everyone!

A few months ago my housemate changed my phone's screen and he touched something he shouldn't, leading to a processor error. Apparently, my motherboard is having a hard time and the phone doesn't turn on.

My question is, is there any way of recovering the data I have there, at least the pictures? I thought I had a backup, but, apparently, the last one I have is from mid-2020 😰

If you're going through the same situation, this is your sign! There's a way out 😊

I ended up sending my phone to @tojaert 's studio- the situation couldn't get any worst, so I've decided to give it a try. The same day he received my phone, my iCloud started to be updated. As you can imagine, I couldn't even believe my eyes... EVERYTHING WAS RECOVERED 🥳 @tojaert kept me updated all the time, including about the poor health of my phone. We've decided to repair it as well and, in about 2-3 weeks, I got it back.

Lessons learned:

Don't try to save money and have a non-professional friend fix stuff on your phone

DO THE FCKING BACKUP- let's stop with rookie mistakes

There's always hope (or let's say an excellent professional that can help you out)

I really regret not coming to this forum earlier, I've wasted 3 months in a repair shop that was useless. Thank you all for your comments!

And, of course, a very special shout-out to @tojaert ! You're a life saviour! 😊😊

P.S I don't know exactly what was the technical problem with the phone in the end, but I'm sure @tojaert can explain it to you if you're curious!
