iPhone 5c: Why does my phone have color lines across the screen?

I dropped my phone about a week ago and it landed on the back side. Now my screen has lines of color going through it, but no picture. The rest of the phone seems to work properly.

iPhone 5c: Touch screen problems after screen replacement

I have been replacing screens on iphones for quite some time now. The iphone 5c and 5s are a different animal. The last few that I've done have me puzzled. It seems as if once I put them back together, the touch response is all over the place. After a hard reset they work for a while and then when you go to touch an icon, another app may open and not the one you touched. I've swapped out the screen with a different one and it does the same thing. Is there some sort of calibration to do on these new phones? It's getting to the point that I'm going to turn down customers that bring them in to be fixed.

iPhone 5c: White Vertical Lines on LCD

I have tried replacing the LCD/digitizer assembly twice on the iPhone 5c. Both screens initially look great and then, after assembly, the LCD starts to display white vertical lines and the digitizer fails to respond. I now have gone through 2 LCDs ($160). My supplier says it is static electricity. My question: Is there a resolution?

iPhone 5c: Broken Screen, Can't slide the slider to turn it off

I have this iPhone 5c to repair, but before I start, I want to turn it off. When I hold down the power button, I get the slider—but the screen is so badly damaged that I can't slide it. Is there any way to force shut down an iPhone? Thanks in advance!

iPhone 5c: Dropped my phone now I have colored lines on the entire screen

I dropped my iPhone 5c on a hard surface, and when I picked it up I saw pink/red lines across the screen. After I hit the lock button, the screen is normal but after about 10-30 seconds pink and red vertical lines appear across the screen and it stops functioning until I press the lock button again. Is there a way to fix this problem or does the LCD screen need to be replaced?

iPhone 5c: iPhone 5c Proximity Sensor Not Working After Screen Replacement

After changing the screen on an iPhone 5c the proximity sensor does not work. After noticing it did not work I took the phone back apart and repositioned the front camera and proximity sensor. After a hard reset it still does not work. The front camera flex cable has no tears so I assume the problem lies on either the screen not allowing enough light or ... That's why I post this question on this forum. Is there any simple troubleshoot like before on the iPhone 4/4s? Is there anything I'm missing that is simply over looked? I examined the original apple screen around the proximity sensor and it matched my replacement screen. I am simply asking for any tricks or tips from others who have encountered this problem..

iPhone 5c: iPhone 5c Black Screen After Replacement?

I just finished replacing an iphone 5c screen, and checked to see if it would power on before I put the screen back fully into place. The apple logo came up and the phone powered on normally, so I shut it off and put the screen fully into place. However, the backlight seems to come on but the screen remains black with no apple logo. It still responds to charge still and vibrates but the lcd remains black. The connectors look normal and do not appear damaged in any way. I have tried hard resets and taken the phone apart several times with no avail. I have also tried other screens which produce the same result but work in other phones. I fear this may be a short in the logic board, and if it is such, is there any fix besides completely replacing the logic board?

Hello,

My girlfriend bought an iphone 5c but we realize that it has a really annoying problem : the time on the phone is changing regularly.

Most of the time the date is right, but from one second to another it can be several hours late of early.

We tried to reset it and to change the battery and tried to switch on and off the automatic time setting, but the problem is still the same : the phone is never on time.

iPhone 5C keyboard will not type certain letters after screen repair. Everything else works fine except for the keyboard. It wont allow me to use the numbers button. Tried a hard reset. Did not work. What can i do?

iPhone 5c: Screen popped out on the top right corner

I just noticed that my 5C's screen popped out of the plastic chassis on the top right corner. The phone was put in an Otter Box by the salesman the day I bought it and it was never dropped seriously (from my lap on a carpet once or twice, but no more than that).

I've read somewhere that putting it on a flat surface and pressing on the back until it clicks back into place might work, but I'm scared it could break something, especially if it's battery problem (like some macbooks I've seen)

What do you think?

iPhone 5c: U2 IC for iPhone 5C replacement

Hi Guys,

Last few days my iphone 5C is acting weird, Its getting hot, Its charging very slow and draining the whole battery in 90 minutes on standby. First few days it was not draining that fast but as mention above now its draining very fast.

I searched many forums and tried many things like deleting exchange, restoring and switching off SIRI but to no vale but one of the person mention that he changed the U2 IC and this resolved the issue. He was very clear that he used non certified iphone charging cable (Which is normal because Iphone battery is not excellent that it last long and you have to get it charge many times and sometimes you do it at your friend house and end up using non certified cable). I did the same and also i find out that IOS 7 + recognize the non certified cable straight away and it is damaging the U2 IC.

Now my questions.

1. What do you think about the issue? You think it is U2 IC problem?

2. I am trying to buy U2 IC but i am not able to find for 5C instead everyone is selling for 5 and 5S. So can we use a 5 or 5S IC for 5C? If not

3. Can you tell me the part name or number for this U2 IC for iphone 5C and the place i can get it from.

Last question is that is it easy to repair the U2 IC. In my country we do not have excellent repair shops and i already check with Apple retailer and they said that they cannot repair this. I still have water damage IPHONE 4S sitting idol in my table where i could not get the power IC changed because no one was able to change it in my city.

By the way i am in Saudi Arabia.

i dropped my phone on the floor and then i picked it up as soon as i could! when it hit the floor back down, the screen slowly turned all red, then completely black. it still vibrates, charges, and makes noises. i dont know why the screen is black! i tried getting into the back of my phone and i was making sure everything was in place and in order. i tried resetting it too. help!

Recently my iPhone 5c stopped working about two days ago. There are some options that could have caused this although i doubt that these are the helpful. 1. i dropped my phone on its side however i have done this many times before, 2. my phone may have been wet in my bag along with a water bottle that WASNT leaking so i highly doubt thats the problem. I did a dance show and when i came back it didnt turn on but i assumed that it was dead. however when i got home i charged it for a while and it didnt turn on and although the screen was black it was making the charging sounds when the sound was on and the vibrating sounds when it was on silent. i have tried rebooting it by holding down the two buttons and i have tried restoring it through itunes to no avail. someone please help, thanks

iPhone 5c: How do you fix a screen with dark, flickering horizontal lines across

So a few months ago I dropped my iPhone 5c and the top right corner had a very small crack and at first didnt seem to affect the screens light but eventually it started to have horizontal lines across the screen and the screen is very dark (I can still see what I was clicking on but it was difficult) and then after a few days the screen became unresponsive(all black) but it the phone would still make noises and vibrate, so my phone wasn't completely broken. About a week ago I started doing research and I read that if you take the cover off and press on the plate covering the cord that leads to the screen you might make it responsive again. This worked kind of because now the screen isn't totally unresponsive, it's just very dark and has horizontal lines running across it. Do I need a screen replacement? Do I need to actually unscrew the plate and look at the cords? Thank you!
