iPhone 5c: Touch screen problems after screen replacement

I have been replacing screens on iphones for quite some time now. The iphone 5c and 5s are a different animal. The last few that I've done have me puzzled. It seems as if once I put them back together, the touch response is all over the place. After a hard reset they work for a while and then when you go to touch an icon, another app may open and not the one you touched. I've swapped out the screen with a different one and it does the same thing. Is there some sort of calibration to do on these new phones? It's getting to the point that I'm going to turn down customers that bring them in to be fixed.

iPhone 5c: Battery replacement worked at first, but now the phone won’t turn on.

I replaced the battery on my iPhone 5c by following the instructions on ifixit. Per the instructions, I charged to to 100% and an additional 2 hours after that. The phone turned on and was working fine. I left it alone for a few days for the battery to run out so I could charge it 100% again to calibrate it, but now it won’t turn on at all.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I remembered the part in the guide about how the lcd connector might disconnect when reassembling, so I opened up the phone again to make sure it was connected, and it was, but I tried reconnecting it again anyway, and it still isn’t working.

There is a chance I mixed up the 1.7mm screw with one of the 1.3mm screws. The text guide and the video guide do things in a slightly different order, and I misunderstood when disconnecting those screws and didnt keep them separate at first. I did use a magnifying glass and carefully compared the screws for a while to determine which one was slightly longer. If I had mixed them up, would the phone have booted up at all the first time?

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

iPhone 5c: phone is disabled, but not counting down

Hi

I am trying to get an old phone 5c working for my sister who managed to mangle it pretty badly. Just replaced the screen, but apparently she forgot her passcode at some point and got into the disabled, please wait X loop. So I go to power it on, and it has been stuck at "please wait for 4 hours 23 minutes" for about twelve hours now, and will sometimes count down to 4 hours 15 minutes, but always returns to 4 and 23. The clock also is not counting, and fluctuates between 2:54 and 3:02. Tried removing the sim, rebooting with the top and home button, restarting, and nothing. I connected it to my computer and when I view the storage it says 110mb free of 14.7gb so it is fuuuuul. She would like to keep her pics etc, and says she remembers her passcode, which I don't believe, but I'd like to try and get the countdown to start counting down. Any suggestions? Prior to my replacing the screen last night, the phone had been in a drawer, discharged for maybe 4 months.

iPhone 5c: Which component is responsible for connecting to the mobile network?

My iPhone 5c recently started intermittently displaying “No connection” in the top left. Resetting the phone would get it to work again. But starting from this morning, no amount of resetting or re-setting network settings has fixed it. Now that I’ve done “reset network settings”, it is stuck at “Searching…” as opposed to “No connection.”

So which component is the “mobile antenna”? Is it replacable? What connections can I clean or jiggle to ensure everything is solid?
