I also damaged my home button flex because of the battery I thought nothing was beneath it. So I want to know if I need to order both or if it is normal for a Li on battery to be "moldable"

Anyway, I suspect the battery's bad since it's been a long time since I charged it and it's rapidly approaching 20 years old anyway. But I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. Every listing I come across is out of stock. I tried searching with the part no (616-0290) too.

I'm almost positive the cells themselves can't be replaced in this one, like you can in a laptop, so that just leaves substituting another battery. The original is a 3.7V lithium polymer with a positive and ground wire. There is no wire harness or ZIF connector like on most other batteries. I do not know if there is any microcontroller inside the battery or if all the charging tech is all on the main board.

I'm thinking some other battery made for another phone or media player may be compatible but I don't know what specs to look out for besides voltage and physical size. Or maybe that's really all there is to it?

Does anyone know what would make another battery compatible with an original iPhone?

so long story short.....

i asked a question about a bootlooping iphone maybe 1-2 months ago and got told to use 3utools.

then i did it after managing to get a windows laptop and the put the iphone in dfu mode, and it told me to flash it and restore it. i did and it got stuck at 18%

three. freaking. times.

and now instead of bootlooping like it did, it would show the apple logo for 3 seconds and then go straight into recovery mode.

then i tried to use itunes to restore, once before i used 3utools, and it did nothing.

then i tried it twice after, and still did nothing

im so defeated, lol

help????

it only turns on when its plugged in as shown in the video, and has a weird shadowy affect after it turns itself off.

anyone know what to do?

ive tried putting in in dfu mode while its doing this,hard resetting also, and it doesn't help

is this also a display issue/recovery issue or is it something else?

the damage to the lcd is dead pixels and a dark spot when the phone is off

the lcd and digitizer for the iphone 2g here on ifixit is sold out, is there anything that i could get that's identical to the one on fixit?

First of all I live in Canada, so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

My carrier is Bell.

My phone is jailbroken, tried several different ones; redsn0w, blackra1n, Pwnage... I've tried to unlock several different times mostly using Bootneuter 2.1

I've tried both bootloaders 3.9 and 4.6

The phone will work with Rogers. My SIM will work on 3G's.

What is it that's not working here? Is it my Sim is too new for the 2G (which shouldn't be the case since the other Roger's sims work) or does Bell not support the 2G? I've spent hours and hours trying every possible combination. Tried to use Fuzzyband 4.1 to downgrade the baseband, but couldn't find an early enough version that would work.

Please.. if you have any suggestions, let me know, because I'm out of ideas and think I may either have to switch carriers, or be stuck with a glorified iPod Touch.

I have a Iphone 2G A1203 8Gb Model.

But my digitizer and glass are broken.

I have bought a replacement Glass, digitizer, lcd set.

But it is smarter to turn the iphone off before repair. (to prevent short circuit)

How can i turn my iphone off without the digitizer?

How that someone can help me.
