iPhone 15: LCD Screen came without front sensor cable?

I just replaced the display on my iPhone 15 and noticed a bit too late that the replacement part did not come with a front sensor cable on it.

Neither the part description nor the repair guide seem to mention this. Is that expected?

I had an old gmail account that apparently got ratted connect to everything I signed into idk I went from android to iOS thinking better security lol I thought I cleaned my gmails no hackers I signed into idk on my iPhone it took them a few weeks but they got in and took my iCloud t had legal identifying papers logs traces files screenshots screen recording gone I am having too many issues recovering no product is safe they were in my smart tv and my WiFi hub good they couldn’t be detected as foreign objects but what does this mean can you give me to finally cut them off besides delete you google and get a new phone this iPhone is 1 month

iPhone 15: LCD panel replaced causing reboot loop?

Hello,

I just replaced my slightly cracked screen by a LCD panel. After following the iFixIt tutorial (note: doesn't mention replacing the proximity sensor), I'm stuck in a reboot loop. The touch screen, FaceID and other functionalities seem to be functioning correctly besides that.

it seems to be related to the SMC/TrueTone verification failing. Is this the issue ? In that case, would adding the proximity sensor back fix the issue ?

iPhone 15: Phone reboots repeatedly after screen replacement

I replaced the screen on an Apple iPhone 15 with an LCD panel. My eyes do not like OLED screens. The panel looks great but the phone keeps rebooting every couple of minutes. I also get a message that the display is not recognized despite having run through the Apple repair routine multiple times. It always says genuine apple part even though it’s not from Apple. Any suggestions. I have looked at the analytics log but it is not logging the crashes.

Hi, I’m having an issue with my iPhone storage.

My iPhone storage is almost full (around 118/128 GB), and I can’t update iOS because it says there’s not enough space.

I already:

Upgraded to 2TB iCloud storage
Enabled iCloud Backup (currently backing up around 59 GB)
Turned on iCloud Photos and synced all my photos

However, my iPhone storage is still full and not decreasing at all.

Is iCloud backup supposed to reduce iPhone storage?

And what is the best way to free up space so I can update iOS without deleting important data?

iPhone 15: Issue With The Wired Earphones

I have a iPhone 15 and I've been using these AKG Samsung type C earphones (which have a microphone). Initially it was working fine but now I'm running into issues. I can listen to my music and videos just fine, the issue lies with phone calls. When I get a call I can hear the person's voice however when I speak they aren't able to hear me.

I connected these earphones to my android device through the type C port and tested it out and it works fine even with the calls. The person on the receiving end can hear my perfectly.

What could the issue be and how can I fix it?

Hi all. I’ve gained a broken iPhone 15 and just in the process of getting it working. I’ve just changed the back of the phone with a different one due to the cable for the wireless charging and torch was snapped. Still having the restarting issue if anyone could help. iPhone 15: Why does my phone vibrate so loud?

Recently, last night, I noticed the haptic feedback on my phone has been vibrating a lot more aggressively, where the vibrations are noticeably audible as compared to before when my phone was a lot more quiet. I don’t think this is a result of water damage as it has not been in contact with water at all yesterday.

iPhone 15: Left side of screen not staying flush after replacement.

Hi all,

I successfully replaced my iPhone 15 screen with the Hard OLED part form iFixit a few days ago. It’s been great, honestly, but I’ve noticed that the left side of the screen isn’t staying flush with the body of the phone. This is about 1.5mm above the edge of the phone body. The right side, top, and bottom are flush. I can push the left edge into the body very easily and there is no distortion on the screen when I do so. It stays for a while but so far eventually comes back up.

I’m posting here in case anyone has experience or thoughts before I go trying to open the phone again and dealing with the adhesive, clips, and risk of that, ha.

I have noticed that I don’t hear any click from the clip along the left edge when I push it back to flush. I’d expect that, but don’t know if that expectation is right. Would that clip hold the left edge flush if it were properly engaging? The left edge clip MAY have had a slight bend in it but it wasn’t enough to be obvious to my eye.

Some of the other clips were definitely bent when the part arrived: the top right corner clip was flat against the screen and the bottom screw loops were almost bent that far, as well. (the screen I replaced was freaking out with ghost touches, so I really couldn’t wait for another part and was able to bend those three into position).

Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

iPhone 15: Repair assistant with aftermarket screen and OEM battery/back glass

I have an iPhone 15 and I replaced the following:

- Display (soft oled aftermarket)
- Battery (genuine Apple battery)
- Back glass (genuine Apple back glass)

Now, I understand that I cannot pair the display without transferring the touch IC and I'm okay with that. But I believe that this non-genuine display hinders the repair assistant to finish properly. It also shows up in the repair assistant in the "Finish repair" step next to the back glass and the battery.

However, the step fails within a few seconds with the message:

"Unable to Configure

Display
Back Glass
Battery

These parts could not be configured because they are not genuine Apple parts"

Is there a way to exclude the display from the repair assistant? I don't have an original Apple display laying around to hook that one up and then go through the assistant.

iPhone 15: I've submerged my iPhone 15 in water.

I submerged my iPhone 15 in water and it turned off.

I have cleaned the base, replaced the new battery, screen and charging connector and started it up, but it is not responding and no electricity seems to be flowing.

Is there any way to repair these symptoms?

Can anyone tell me how to do this?
