iPhone 14 Pro: Crackling background sound during calls!

Please help! I have an iPhone 14 Pro and i hear loud crackling background sounds during normal calls. However, this does not happen with calls made through watsapp. There is no issue watching videos or listening to music. I have tried everything from resetting my phone to factory settings, downgrading my iOS to a previous version, hard reboot, etc. During calls, when this happens, if i switch to speaker, the crackling stops momentarily. But it starts crackling again, and then i switch back to normal iphone and it stops again momentarily. I have to keep switching back and forth between speaker and iphone to be able to hear the other person properly during these calls. Its not a network issue and i dont think this is a software issue either. Any advice?

iPhone 14 Pro: iPhone 14 Pro overheating after battery replacement

Hi everyone,

I recently replaced the battery in my iPhone 14 Pro. After the replacement, the phone started overheating right after turning it on. To rule out the new battery as the cause, I reinstalled the original battery, but the issue remains the same.

I checked all connectors and flex cables – everything seems properly connected, and there is no visible physical damage inside. However, I noticed that the main processor itself gets extremely hot immediately after powering on.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could cause this? Could it be an issue with the power management IC or a short somewhere around the CPU?

iPhone 14 Pro: Weird proximity sensor bug iPhone 14 pro

Hello guys,

this is my first post here because I have two iPhone 14 Pro‘s with an bug that seems so weird to me. I repaired both phones displays and now I encountered the weird situation that the proximity sensor seems to not work right and is super unreliable.

Both phones have DD Aftermarker Soft Oleds with 120 Hz Rate + transplanted Display IC. The phones work fine but the only thing that happens is that if there is a new message the display won‘t get activated to show the popup and that during listening to an Whatsapp voicemail e.g. the proximity function activates random and if activated sometimes doesen‘t end itself unless you push the powerbutton.

I did further testing with different flexes, I put new adhesive on the sensor because I thought it was bleeding light and nothing helped. If I disconnect the flex at all, I get a lit up display on pop up messages, proximity logically doesen‘t work anymore.

I also did an full reset using DFU, nothing changed.

One more thing I noticed is that when I put pressure on the display while in phone in an certain area around the corners, the proximity gets activated and if I take my finger away it sometimes deactivates and sometimes not.

The only thing I can imagine to be the cause is the display itself because its the same error in 2 phones. But the seller said they had no problems with it in general. What I also don‘t understand is why I get lit up screen without flex and no lit up at all when connected even tho the prox is not activated all the time until I put pressure or it‘s randomly activated.

Last step will be to buy another display for me but maybe someone has encountered the same problem or has an hint for me.

Thank you very much,

Yours

iPhone 14 Pro: The sensor assembly doesn´t work after screen replacement

I changed the screen on my iphone 14 pro with an original one and after finishing, the ios repair asistant shows this message"unable to configure" the screen. It says that the screen in "unknown", and when I go to diagnostic mode it also tells that the ambient light sensor isn´t working as well. But when i install the old screen (the one i changed), nothing is wrong and everything works perfectly. The new screen i bought didn´t had the sensor assembly intalled, so i had to swap it with the one i had from old screen. I think that the sensor assembly and screen are linked, and if one of them is changed it wouldn´t work. How can I solve it?. IOS 18.4

iPhone 14 Pro: "Compass sensor" error after repair

I disassembled my iPhone 14 Pro to clean condensation from behind the camera lenses it took a quick dip in the river. No other signs of liquid damage inside, no liquid sensors tripped, and everything was working fine before disassembly.

Now, after reassembly, the iPhone is boot looping every ~3 minutes, and Apple diagnostics say that the "Compass Sensor Test" fails. Also, the compass does not, in fact, work. I have reseated all visible flex cables; no fix.
