I have an iPhone 14 plus and its kernel panicking from the back glass 0x4000000. i understand that this part is paired to the board because it handles important system data like the temperature and the kernel doesn't want to risk damage to the device so it panics. I have a working wireless coil that stops the panic, but its still attached to the shattered back. is it possible to swap the functioning OEM coil from the bad glass to the good condition glass that has the bad coil? whats the best way to do so? I thought about just buying a new back glass with the sensor but would that sensor work with the iPhone? 3rd party parts can't be paired, and if its not able to pair, wouldn't it still cause a panic because its a critical component? The kernel wouldn't trust this part and refuse to use it? if 3rd party wireless charging coils CAN be used without causing a panic, whats the best brand/store to get the part?

Hi I have a quick question! I'm replacing an iPhone 14 Plus screen - it was dropped and smashed and water got inside... I have a replacment screen now and want to test the functions of the phone but am still unclear on something... If I connect the screen will the device damage the screen?

There's no water left in the device, I just wondered if some of the older potential shorts may exist and could damage it....

OR am I ok to put the screen on the connectors, reconnect the battery and test it?

Alternatively, am I better to check all of the connctor with a microscope, clean them up and replace capacitors etc that are damaged before testing the screen?

I want to test it but I just don't want to fry this brand new screen...

I dropped my phone just this morning and cracked my screen, it won't react to me pressing numbers for my passcode correctly. It locked me out for 8 hours. I tried filing a claim with Verizon / Asurion but I won't be able to do so without my Apple ID (which I forgot,, it's on my notes app). My recovery key is also on my notes app. I seriously can't seem to do anything without my Apple ID/recovery key, but it's all on my notes app on my phone, I just can't get into it with the way my screen reacts. Any help?

I'm hearing different information on if replacing the original screen on a 14 Plus will immobilize the face ID or not.

I need to replace the screen but I'd rather keep the face ID and finger print reader ect.

Hello recently brought a iPhone 14 Plus for $300 aud in used condition it’s a bit beat up but functions fine except for artefacts on the front camera is there a way to get this fixed or even fix it my self as I was already planing on replacing the back glass my self and keep Face ID functional or is it better I return the divide with eBay’s return policy.

Replacing the rear camera did not resolve the issue.

From other forums, it might be related to logic board issue. Do we have any guide for logic board replacement?

This issue showed up a month after a hard drop from a motorcycle. No physical damage seen on front and rear camera lenses.

Face ID still works perfectly fine.
