iPhone 13 mini: Sensor assembly remains in phone

following the directions, it appears that the sensor assembly should come out of the iPhone 13 mini attached to the screen. However, mine is stuck inside the phone, behind the bezel to which the phone is glued. Is this a slightly different phone model compared to the one in the instructions?

iPhone 13 mini: Likely dead battery, extremely concerned about data loss.

Recently, I've been having battery issues that were concerning to say the least. For the last two days, I went to charge my iPhone overnight, but when I woke up, I found that the phone hadn't charged at all, and I ended up using an external battery to charge the phone with no issue. I tried clearing out the charging port with a toothpick, but the issue kept occuring! Today, the phone ended up dying, and when I got it powered up and checked the battery history, it said that the iPhone didn't charge at all, and eventually fully discharged. I also saw that the phone said my battery was not verified, and that Face ID had an issue, despite never having opened my phone to replace the battery or tamper with FaceID. The battery also refused to charge, remaining at 0 percent, and I had to plug in an external battery in just to keep it on. A couple hours later, it entered into a bootloop whenever I plugged it in, and i took it off the battery to let it rest. Is there anyway to save my phone? Or even just create a backup to save my data?

iPhone 13 mini: WiFi and Bluetooth barely works - why?

9-year-old’s iPhone 13 mini. Had a very unprofessional screen + battery replacement. Now:

WiFi disconnects constantly (especially when gaming)

Bluetooth range/connection is terrible

Screen flickers on home screen

Already tried the usual WiFi resets, forgetting networks, etc. – no change.

Questions:

On the 13 mini, are WiFi and Bluetooth handled by the same chip or antenna flex cable?

Could a botched screen replacement (tons of leftover glue, possibly damaged flexes) cause both WiFi and BT issues?

Any specific things to check inside?

Thanks so much!

iPhone 13 mini: Unable to finish battery repair with Repair Assistant

I have managed to replace the battery in my iPhone 13 mini successfully. The phone seems to work fine but the "Finish repair & restart" item is not showing up in the Settings app. It showed at first but when I tried using it it failed (something about failing to contact the server). I retried a couple more times, but the item just disappeared (nor is it available in Settings > General > About > Parts & Service History, it shows that my battery is an "unknown part"). I tried restarting, making sure my phone is connected to WiFi, disabling PiHole, nothing helped.

I hear the repair assistant is still new and very flaky, but I was wondering if I can still finish the repair. Also, is there a point in contacting Apple support about this?

iPhone 13 mini: Screen replacement questions: OEM vs OEM locked vs non-OEM

Hi community! My iphone 13 mini screen is unresponsive and I'd like to try replacing with a used OEM screen myself (I have successfully done a screen replacement on an older model). I'm getting a semi-working (touch works but there are a few lines on the display) OEM screen from eBay. This replacement screen looks like it's from an unlocked phone but Ir ealize that in the grey world of used parts, it may not be.

A few questions:

If screen is OEM and unlocked, can I do a straight swap and get the ability to use the screen again?

If screen is OEM and locked, what risks do I face?

If screen is non-OEM, what risks do I face?

I'm particularly interested in understanding if there's a risk of data loss with any of these scenarios.

Thanks!

Note: iOS 18. Also, I've opened up the phone and checked the connections. I suspect there's a digitizer/touch chip issue and would like to confirm/rule out before taking to reputable third party repair shop.

iPhone 13 mini: What to do RIGHT NOW with my broken iPhone? Blinking green screen

My iphone 13 mini got water ingress a few days ago. Today the screen went dark and then green while using it, it came back then left a few times until it went completely green. Everything worked on it (haptics, touch, notifications) after that. But the power button seemed to stop working after a while.

I tried opening it up. Destroyed the corner of the screen doing so. The corner is now black while the rest of the screen flashes green continuously with a constant interval.

What do I do right now? Is there a way to turn it off or should I let it slowly drain the battery by itself? Will this destroy the battery?

Is there any other screen that is electrically compatible? Is it likely that it is just the screen that is broken, or is there more damage? I don't need the screen to fit mechanically, I just want to log myself in or out of apps, use twofactor so i can start using another phone and try to transfer some photos off the phone.
