iPhone 12 mini: Suddenly getting No Service 95% of the time

Hi everyone, I’m trying to diagnose why my iPhone 12 Mini has suddenly had a huge drop in signal quality.

I noticed a few days ago that I had No Service for pretty much the whole day. I figured it was to do with my network provider so went through the usual diagnostics with them - they couldn’t find an issue.

It’s worth noting that my wife has exactly the same iPhone model as me and we are with the same network provider, yet she has signal in the same places. I’ve also been to various locations within a 30 mile radius throughout the day and only in one of those locations I seemed to have a very weak 3G connection but seemingly okay connection to make a call. All other locations (about 8 in total it was No Service).

Put my wife’s SIM in my phone - No Service.

Is this pointing to a hardware failure or software failure? And can it be repaired?

I’ve followed a few guides online. Rach is showing “-71”. I can access the modem serial no., IMEI and all other components that suggest it isn’t a hardware failure, so I’m a bit confused at this point!

What gives me hope is that I have been able to get signal in one location, albeit very poor signal, so my phone is clearly able to receive some signal, but something is obviously not working properly.

Also worth noting I currently have a smashed glass back which has been that way for about 2 years and hasn’t cause me issues.

iPhone 12 mini: Artefacts in pictures taken from any camera (front or rear)

Hi all,

I have a very weird issue.

When I take photos, I have multiple artefacts (colored dots : Green / Pink / ...).

It depends on the light and the vividness of colors taken.

In live pics, only the key pic has dots, none of the others. That means, if I edit the live pic, and select another pic to be the key one, the dots are not showing.

Using another app, like LightRoom, doesn't make this issue in DNG, but only in JPG.

When taking videos there's no issue...

This problem happens using any of the cameras (both rear, or front one)...

Sometimes, if I take the picture and I watch it quickly, I can see some dots disappearing.

If I send the picture to another device (not necessarily one of mine), the dots are still visible.

I have factory reseted... Used without any apple ID... DFU + restored new firmware...

Apple Store Staff think this is hardware issue, but in the diag they did, there is no evidence of that...

The phone works pretty well for anything else.

It doesn't get hot, Geekbench and 3D mark gives good performances, no glitches in any video or 3D games...

My phone has less than 2 years, I am supposed to have vendor's warranty, but the vendor is not reachable.... Phone doesn't work, emails are not delivered (mailer deamon)...

I really don't know what to do ! And over all I'm pretty sure this could be fixed by software patch...

Thank you all in advance for your help.
