iPhone 11 Pro: Why is the screen turning off after a few days?

I’ve replaced my iphone 11 pro screen, loud speaker, and battery. Everything is normal but after 2 days the screen went black but the phone vibrates/plays sounds when plugged in. The only fix to this is unplugging the battery’s flex cable then the lcd turns back on. This cyle went on three times then Ive tried another lcd but the same issue persisted. Im at a loss, what could be the problem?

iPhone 11 Pro: Face ID not working after screen replacement

Let me give you some context here so you can get the whole picture.

My phone feel from a 6th floor into the elevator hole (yes, I had very very bad luck). Screen broke, back cover broke and even the frame was a little displaced. But the phone worked perfectly. I was able to use it normally, even take pictures and take phone calls.

My phone had warranty so I took it to a officially authorized and certificated Apple repair site. Unluckily, they told me that, as the frame was broken, they were not able to repair it. Just Apple policies.

So I had an iPhone 11 Pro that was working but Apple just won’t fix it (or at least try). My online choice was to look for a place that can fix my phone, even if it was not Apple authorized. It took time, but I found it. They fixed my phone and it works like a new phone, except for Face ID. I’m getting a message saying “Face ID is not available”. So, I took it back to the guys who fixed it but they couldn’t do anything about it.

With little hope left, I went where everyone with a problem with no easy solution go: to the internet. I found that Face ID parts are linked with some kind of ID to the original display of the phone. But the guys who repaired it told me that they tried with the old display and it still will not work.

So here is my question: Is there a way to fix Face ID? Let’s say I get hands on a new Face ID module. Will it work with this display?

I will be traveling to the US (if COVID let’s me) on October. So I’m willing to get the replacement parts and kit from you if they’re available.

Thanks in advance!

iPhone 11 Pro: Face ID not working after water damage

My phone got water damaged after I put it on the sink next to where I was showering, Maybe water vapour got in. After that, both the front and back lens has condensation in it but dried out after 2 days.

I went to the apple store and the worker told me that they could not do anything about it as it was water damaged hence not under warranty.

My phone is working perfectly except for the face ID and sometimes the screen will flicker. When I use face ID it told me it was not available. Also, my sister told me that the camera quality has been degraded a bit but It doesn’t really affect me that much.

Can someone help me with this? Can I fix this by buying parts here? I really wish to fix this as this phone is not even a year T.T

Hey all.

My wife dropped her 11 pro and the screen broke. I ordered a replacement and installed it like I have a few times before, but this time when I turned on the display to test it half of the screen has vertical blue lines on a black background and the other half looks "normal". However where the normal part meets the black part it appears like it is reading touches all along that line, example it is auto typing in the pin down the middle row of numbers. I was thinking it might just be the screen I ordered but I also noticed that when I power off the device it will turn right back on. The only way to get it to stay off is to unplug the battery connector.

I have reseated all connectors multiple times and feel confident there is no connection issue and there appears to be no bent pins or anything.

I will proceed with asking for another replacement screen but I am worried there may be further issues. Please let me know if anyone has had similar issues. Thank you.

iPhone 11 Pro: Battery health query following dead iPhone 11 Pro

Hi,

Recently my sons iPhone 11 Pro was at 80% when it switched off and could not turn back on. When we plugged the iPhone cable in to charge it we were met with a red battery symbol for hours, nothing further happened, it was like the battery was not charging so my next step was to take it to have the battery replaced HOWEVER I did manage to fix it by doing the following ( this might be helpful for anyone in the same situation):

While plugged in press volume up once,

Press volume down once,

Press and hold for 8 secs the button on right side

While holding that button after 8 seconds also hold the volume down button for about 6 seconds then you should see the apple logo and then a recovery mode message.

I then left the charger there for about 10 mins and then proceeded to press and hold the button on the right side for about 7 seconds till the i saw the apple logo and let go, this should then switch the phone on.

Interestingly when it came on the battery was at 3%, which would suggest that the percentage wasn't 80% at initially showed.

So i have a couple of questions:

1) Does anyone know why it would show 80% and then switch off and act as though the battery was dead?

2) Should i continue with replacing the battery regardless if it is now working, could the battery health be shot due to the age of the phone?

3) is it possible the percentage indicator is showing a different figure than what was true? and how can we avoid this happening in the future.

iPhone 11 Pro: Removing and putting back iPhone screen without power off.

I did not take extra care and kept removing and putting back the screen assembly of an iPhone 11 Pro. At some point the screen died, but the phone was still giving vibrations. But now, I cant even hear sounds from the phone despite charging. I heard doing this can indeed destroy the screen, but then it could have caused short circuit in my phone too?
