This phone has had the screen and housing replaced, people on reddit suggested changing the battery but that didn’t fix it, thinking of changing the lightning port flex cable. any idea about where exactly is the “Prs0“ sensor?

iPhone 11: Message After Screen Replacement - Has anyone manged to solve?

Hi All,

I hear recently that there could be a solution for the warning message that appears after screen replacement. It was suggested to me that it might be possible to transfer an IC from the original screen flex to a new screen.

Does this sound plausible, has anyone managed it yet? Such a shame, I’m turning down loads of iPhone 11 repairs…

iPhone 11: iPhone not charging after installing replacement battery.

Hey all. I just installed the ifixit replacement battery into my iPhone 11. It now starts up fine and everything seems to work just fine, except for the battery.

Of course, I lost all the battery health information, but I expected that. It's also showing 0% charge, and will restart randomly after a couple minutes. I have it plugged into a charger, but it does not show a charging symbol. It does make the sound and small vibration when it's plugged in though.

I tried force restarting it several times as well, it did nothing. Did I get a bad battery?

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 turning off after screen replacement

I repaired an iPhone 11 it was a screen replacement and back glass replacement with the forward laser machine everything seemed to work fine but when the phone is on for a couple minutes the phone turns off and back on. After it randomly restarts it acts like normal until a couple minutes have passed it does it again. I’ve tried a different battery and even the original screen but it still does this. I’ve also disconnected the front speaker flex in case it was causing problems but it still does it. I put it into dfu mode and updated it successfully now its on a white screen that says attempting data recovery but it keeps turning off before it finishes any ideas on how to fix this power off problem.

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 Rear Camera Glass (Bottom Lens)

I just bought an iPhone 11 on Sunday night. I have owned this phone for about 2.5 days. I traded in my Pixel 3 XL because I thought I would give Apple a shot since google would only offer me $260 for a trade-in for the new Pixel 4 whereas Apple gave me $300.

This morning while in class I noticed a small white smudge on my rear camera lens (bottom camera lens). I have had a MaxBoost mWallet Case on my iPhone since the day of purchase. The white smudge on the bottom rear camera lens ended up being a small fracture. There is no other damage to the phone. Not even around the rim of the camera lens. I contacted Apple Support and they said it cracked due to the magnet/metal plate in the phone case. I have been repairing iPhones for 3+ years and have never heard of magnets shattering glass. I also have never dropped this phone and when placed in my pockets it remains separate from anything else in my pockets such as keys or my wallet. Here are the screenshots of my conversation with the Apple Technician.

https://imgur.com/a/hJo2NWM

I have been researching this as best as I could and couldn't find anything related but I came across this

https://9to5mac.com/2019/09/23/iphone-11...

Even an 11-foot drop test the only thing that was damaged was the Rear Camera itself - no glass damage.

I took it to the Apple Store near me and they agreed they were not sure how it cracked but they said the only option was to pay $399. $399 for the REAR CAMERA GLASS?! They then said I could purchase AppleCare+ for $149 + $99 for a new device because they do not repair the Rear Camera Glass. Yet, if you have a broken display & AppleCare+ a replacement is $29 plus tax. So a $0.10 cent piece of glass is more expensive than an iPhone 11 display?

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement rear camera glass? Or a better solution than paying out of pocket for a $0.10 piece of glass?

Update (10/31/2019)

For what its worth here are the pictures of my iPhone 11 -_-

https://imgur.com/a/y4tqWRs

I have personally repaired over 10,000 iPhones from i6 to XS Max for Facebook, ITRenew, & my own repair business Hard Break EZ Fix. Never have a seen a camera lens shatter/crack without some other sort of damage to the rim of the lens. Maybe I hit it perfectly on my bed or pocket because those are the only places its been in the past 3 days. Yet the drop tests couldn't crack the glass from an 11-foot drop...

Does anyone have any thoughts on how this cracked?

Hey,

So I have this iPhone 11 and its giving a fake hot warning. If I disconnect the power button it will boot up but after 3 minutes it will restart and so on. At least I can do panic logs but in the panic logs it will only show the the faults on the power button (i think).

NAND, Button power, wifi and another one which I don't remember.

Or is there any way I can check the panic logs even with the phone on the hot warning message?

Can anyone help me out trying to solve this problem? Thanks!

iPhone 11: No service on my iPhone

I recenty bought an almost unused iPhone 11 that had a screen issue. I changed the screen myself and everything seemed to work workperfectly when I assembled it together.

The only issue i’m having is that my iPhone keeps saying no service. it may have one dot for maybe 5 seconds when turning flight mode on/off or when I reboot the device, but after 10 seconds or so it says no service. In cellular settings I can confirm it is the right network, and it reads the sim. I get asked for the pin code when putting it in.

I have also tried another SIM card in my device and its still the same issue. I tried using my sim on my older phone, and it works in that device.

So i’m guessing it is a hardware issue or something like that. Please help! Thanks in advance.

iPhone 11: Water damage, iPhone 11 Black screen still Responsive

iPhone 11 bought in March 2020 from Apple, limited warranty-

-Current condition: Black screen, will not display anything no matter what, still responsive to touch and will charge (it makes the accompanying noises/vibrations and an alarm went off which I stopped by touching usual spot)

-Previously had an iPhone 7+ that had been submerged in pool water on multiple occasions for various times and it works perfectly

-Googled if newer phone was water-proof yesterday came up with the 2 meters/30 minutes resistance

-Submerged it for no more that 10 secs 2 inches underwater- did this 3 times

-May have been splashed close by?

-Sat it on a table for a good hour

-Picked up and noticed slight screen glitch- scrolling through photos too fast would cause tiny tiny grey grid to cover entire screen

-Over the next 2-3 hours, proceeded to use phone as per usual, restarting periodically and playing a YouTube sound clip to vibrate water out of speakers

-Screen glitched more and more often with use

-Plugged in charger and got the water notification, unplugged but re-plugged not to long after, force restart

-Darker patch, “oil” spill-like appeared in bottom left corner

-Stopped working entirely, current condition as above

iPhone 11: Phone overheating after replacing battery

So recently I ordered a battery from ifixit for my phone, as its battery health was down to 75%. After replacing and calibrating the new battery, I noticed the phone would get super hot when charging. It would get so hot that the phone automatically dims the brightness to cool itself. This wasn't something that occurred before with the OEM battery from Apple. Could it be that I received a faulty battery, or am I missing some part of the equation here?

I repaired an iPhone 11 screen yesterday, and everything seems to be working fine except for the Face ID function. when I go to set it up, it’s like it doesn’t recognize my face at all. However, I haven’t gotten any sort of error message yet. It just keeps trying to focus and tells me to position my face in the frame, sometimes saying I should move the phone lower. It is probably a problem with the dot projector. Hopefully, it’s just obstructed by some adhesive or something, and I can just open the phone back up and tweak it a bit. However, if it IS in fact broken, what should I be looking for, and will Apple fix it to get my Face ID working, even if I did a third-party screen replacement?

iPhone 11: Face ID tampering detection question

So I work at a phone repair shop. A customer brought in an 11 with water damage and it was boot-looping. Unplugged the face id/earpiece flex cable and came on fine. I see Ear Speaker with Sensor Flex Cable parts online that are supposedly OEM.

Now I’ve seen videos of people replacing the actual sensor, via micro soldering, to get the face ID working, but unfortunately we don’t do that here.

So if I just replace the cable so that at least the earpiece works, but NOT transfer the sensor(customer Isn’t concerned about the Face-ID anyway) I’ve read about it possibly tripping the “tampering detection”

Will that cause you to not be able to use the phone AT ALL, or just the Face-ID function?

Thanks if you can help

Update (10/11/2020)

customer phone is bootlooping with it plugged in(fine without)

planning on trying to replace the whole flex cable earpiece include

Part for reference: https://www.mobiledefenders.com/mobile-p...

if i trip the whole Face ID “Tampering Detection” and it gets disabled

Will it disable the whole phone or just Face ID features?

iPhone 11: Unable to share notes

Hey everybody! I’ve had the iPhone 7 until very recently when I upgraded to the 11. With the new ios, I have wanted to take advantage of the ability to share notes with other people to work collaboratively. Since getting the phone a few months ago, it hasn’t allowed me to do this and I get an error saying the server is down.

Apple support was no help. I have restarted the phone, updated it, etc.
