iPhone X: iPhone X battery connector replacement

Alright, so I posted on here a while ago about salvaging an iPhone X that was water damaged, and I did my best to clean it, but after taking a better look at the board under magnification I discovered the battery connector on the logic board seems to be either corroded or fried.

I have found out that the connector can be replaced, but will require micro-soldering. At this point it’s more or less practice, because he’s gonna just buy a new phone if I cant fix it, but it would be awesome to get it working again.

I was wondering if anyone here has any input on the difficulty/requirements of this job, because I can’t seem to find anything about it online. I guess my main questions are: will I need to open up the “sandwich” of the board to replace this connector, and what type of solder should be used for this job? Also if there’s anything else I should look out for or be careful about to do this job successfully.

Thanks :)

iPhone 12: My phone goes into a bootloop anytime it's plugged in

Title says it all, anytime I plug a lightning port into my phone (connected to a charger or not), the phone freezes, then restarts, shows the apple logo, then black screens over and over, and if it's still plugged in, eventually it leads to the recovery screen, before restarting the boot-loop shortly after ; on top of that, unless I have airpods / a bluetooth sound device connected to my phone, videos do not play and there's no sound or haptics from the phone.

To try and diagnose the issue, I tried pretty much everything, replacing the lightning connector altogether, the loudspeaker, the taptic engine, even the light sensor on the screen but no dice, the issue still happens and I don't know what to do

The issue popped out of nowhere too, it worked one day, went to bed and it stopped working the next.

Other than that, the phone works fine, but trying to look at the panic logs didn't provide anything of use either

Lemme know if you have any solutions to this!

iPhone 15 Pro Max: Back Glass Replacement - Wireless Charging Coil Transfer?

I’m replacing the back glass on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I was wondering if the wireless charging coil is something that I am able to transfer from the original? If so, is it just a heat and carefully separate situation? Or is this a component that will require soldering to fully transfer?

iPhone 12 Pro: Dark spot on camera

Hello!

Today I was taking a picture at a white background and I noticed this dark shape on my camera. I thought that it was dust or something on my lens and cleaned it carefully with some cotton and some cleaning substance for lens and they looked clean with no scratch or anything. When I opened the camera app again, the spot was still there. I never dropped my phone in water or anything. I dropped it from like 40cm on its face, but it's been like a month since then and i checked my old photos. The spot wasn't present.

Definitely it's something in there. When i zoom in, the spot gets bigger. When i zoom out, it immediately disappears, no matter the zoom out value under 1. Also, in portrait mode the spot isn't visible.

What can it be? A friend of mine told me that it can be a software problem but i doubt…

Thank you!

iPhone 4: How do I clean corrosion after water damage?

I have an iPhone 4 that was immersed in water, and worked for an hour or so before any problems were evident. It has spent two days in a bowl of rice, but I decided to open it up to see what's going on. The two water-sensitive stickers on the back of the logic board have turned pink, and there are copper salts deposited on the logic board near the bottom of the LCD connector (the connector outlined in orange at Step 17 here: iPhone 4 Logic Board Replacement).

I'm thinking that I will try to clean up this corrosion before trying to plug it in again, but I'm not sure what sort of tool to use. Are we talking isopropyl alcohol and a Qtip, or is there some other accepted approach?
