iPad Pro 11" 2nd Gen: iPad Pro 11" 2nd Gen boot loop with proximity sensor plugged in.

I replaced the digitizer on my iPad pro and it appeared all went well. I’ve done quite a few iPad’s and there were no surprises. After reassembly it went into a boot loop and at first I blamed the new digitizer. After some process of elimination I tried to turn on with out the proximity sensor and it works perfectly.

Could it simply be that I have damaged the proximity sensor cable and need to replace it?

If replaced, will the face recognition ever work again?

What other features will I not have if I don’t replace it?

Hi,

after replacing the USB C port of my 11" 2nd gen. iPad Pro my iPad doesn't show the battery charging percentage anymore and reboots permanently (kernel panic*).
iPad Pro 11" 2nd Gen: Screen replacement rendered Apple Pencil useless

Hi!

I replaced my iPad Pro 11” M1 (3RD GEN) screen with a Gen2 glass screen—Apple Pencil now works very oddly. Lots of dead spots as I draw lines or anything. Finger works fine though.

Only the Pencil has that issue.

The Gen 2 screen blocks the autobrightness sensor on the M1 Gen 3 ipad. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me. But the pencil not working properly is killing me atm.

Any idea why that’s happening?

Weird thing also is that Sometimes the pencil will kick in and work perfectly, but just for a few minutes before going nuts again. 90% of the time it works badly.

iPad Pro 11" 2nd Gen: Broken key on iPad Pro 11” Magic Keyboard

Hi Friends,

I’m super frustrated as I have a key which needs replacing on a Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 11” 2nd gen. The key is “}]”, the plastic hinge piece of the key broke. Unfortunately, Apple said they would need to replace the entire unit to fix the one key which would cost $200+.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part for it? It would be super easy to replace if I can find the part.
