Hey there, I’m trying to figure out where to source quality trusted lcd for this Ipad. From what I’ve gathered Ifixit and InjuredGadget a two such options. However one is quite high in the price and the other is out of stock, is there anywhere else trusted among the folks here for quality parts?

iPad Pro 11": The usb-c port doesn’t trasfer data.

I recently changed the usb-c port of my iPad because it was faulty, moving the cable would interrupt the charge and the data connection, before the replacing I tried to scratch the connection line on the original usbc port trying to fixing it but it made it worse, the iPad wouldn’t connect anymore. Then I decided to be fearless and take apart it to change the port. Now the iPad charges well but doesn’t connect to the usb, nor hub. Seems data doesn’t transfer. What could it be the problem?

iPad Pro 11": Is is advisable to remove wifi antennas?

I want to buy an iPad where a technician can remove WiFi antenna. I am looking at:

Any iPad Pro or

M1 iPad Air or

iPad 9th gen (WiFi only variants of all).

Why? I got into medical school after lots of effort and a 1-year gap; now, my bad habits are catching up and I need to strike a balance - like my life depends on it.

My !!%@ addiction is under control, thanks to on-campus counseling, but I want to remove triggers and associate iPad to studying only.
In other words: make sure iPad can only be used for note-taking and reading (it is okay to use my desktop in my private room to do other stuff).

Also, once-a-week I'd like to sync notes and PDFs to my desktop and to cloud. I hope that's possible via USB cables.

Please advise whether, and which model, removal of WiFi antenna is possible.

iPad Pro 11": Not charging when plugged in

So my iPad is not able to charge or hold a charge. So when I plug it in. And leave it plugged in. It turns on, but stays at 1% no matter what, and then I can even get anywhere from 10-30 minutes of use out of it. But then it shuts down. If it’s dead and I plug the cord in, it just shows the dead battery logo; but if I unplug, it says I need to plug a cord in. So it seems like it’s recognizing a cord, it just isn’t able to hold the charge. Also the battery icon does not show charging if it’s plugged in. Geek Squad said it’s a whole system replacement at $500 (eye roll) and ubreakifix said it’s $200 repair. I’m pretty good with repair and would like to do on my own but want to see if anyone knows if it’s the charging port or motherboard, or what exactly id need to repair. Any help is greatly appreciated as I’m like a month outside my warranty and would like not to have to make this an expensive paperweight. Thanks!

So while disassembling the sensor cable from the screen the ambient sensor was damaged and came off from the cable at the back. The separation seems clean like it was held only by adhesive and not soldered. Can it be simply tacked back on while aligning the contacts and be functional. Or is it unrepairable; if unrepairable do I lose aurobrightness and trutone or can one sensor suffice?

iPad Pro 11": iPad charging issue only with 18w adapter

So I have a very weird issue. All the sudden my iPad Pro started not charging it just charges a bit and stops on and off the icon just flickers. But in testing the charger I switched cables and bricks. It will charge fine with my MacBook charger, directly from my MacBook or from a usb a to c cable plugged into a hub. With an Apple or non Apple cable. However the issue occurs only when plugged into the Apple 18w brick that is included I have tried 3 different ones and all do it. Tried 3 cables and all do it. Try those same cables on the MacBook or the MacBook brick and they work just fine. What would cause only an 18w brick not to work?

iPad Pro 11": Bluetooth not working on ipad- nothing helped

I have really strange problem with bluetooth on ipad pro 11 2018 wifi only.

Bought my ipad two years ago( october 20119) and kept it like a jewl.

No problems until one day few months ago woke up, and bluetooth not working, and only it.

Headphones not detected, pen detected when on magnet, but nothing when a cm apart- cant write, double tap not working, bluetooth mouse not working…

All of the other ipad functions work like new. Wifi ok, nothing slow… like new.

No warrany so called apple support- they made distance analytics and said that hardware is all O.K.

Tried few times to restart from ipad, few from Itunes( hard reset-factory reset)- nothing!!

Is it possible that it is still software although analytics was ok? The bluetooth is same chip like wifi- how one is working and the other is not?

Not dropped even once! Kept it with extreme caution.

( pen is not the problem, working with other ipad)

Thanks , please help me gain bluetooth support for my old ipad. I want to give it to my sister as a present… to use for note taking

iPad Pro 11": The ipad is working with only the background light on, cannot display?

Hello my friends, I have an replaced IPad Pro 11’inch. Few days ago, the device just started to randomly blink and later the display went off(black but i can see the background light). I know that the device is working because I can see the screenshot picture in my iCloud. I went to Apple and they would not fix it, said they could only do a replacement for $500+, since the warranty expired in August.

I tried to go to another local tech store and having them take a look on the device, said that the LCD screen is fine since the background light is still on, and he doubted that there was something wrong with the logic board. Could anyone please provide some advice?

iPad Pro 11": iPad won't charge when powered on. Will trickle charge when off.

My iPad Pro 11” (2018) works fine except it no longer charges when it is powered on. When power is off it will trickle charge (sometimes). I’ve tried different USB-C cables and USB adapters. Visual inspection of USB-C port reveals no blockage or obvious damage.

Apple wants $500+ to repair. I’ve found this video on iFixIt that I’m considering iPad Pro 11" and 12.9" (2018/2020) USB-C Port

Hoping to talk to someone who has been through this process with my exact model iPad. The video shown in that link is clearly for a different model iPad (rounded edges instead of the squared off edges of my 2018 Pro).

Success? Failure? Caveats? What’s variations to demo should I expect between the iFixIt video and my iPad?

Thanks in advance!
