iPad Pro 10.5": IPad Pro Screen unresponsive intermittently, Pencil works fine with it

Issue description: touch screen randomly become unresponsive for 1-3 seconds then back to normal again, during the period any finger touch will be ignored, but Apple Pencil works fine on it.

why I am asking instead of going to Apple store: I did, 2 month ago when my first 10.5” was having the same issue, after grueling battle with genius I was able to get a brand new one (Not repaired), and this one is also getting the same touchscreen issue.

what I’m trying to determine: Is it a hardware issue or a software one? How can Apple Pencil works fine while my fingers don’t? Why is it the problem only emerge after one or two months of usage.

iPad Pro 10.5": Unable to restore: Unknown error 9 060E.0000 I think it might be dead!

I am trying to fix my mother's iPad pro which spontaneously has stopped working (no physical accident or known damage). The iPad won't turn on at all, including a hard reset. When plugged into a MacBook Pro, the MacBook pro recognises it is in recovery mode and only gives the option to restore it and erase everything. When this option is selected, the apple logo appears, a blank progress bar appears, and then it fails and an error message on the MacBook is shown saying Unknown Error 9 060E.0000. I have tried this process both in DFU and Recovery mode to no avail.

I have tried multiple different cables, software on the MacBook pro is up to date, and i'm now at a loss as to what else can be done apart from send it in for repair which is out of my £ at the moment.

Has anyone experienced this or a similar issue and has any suggestions as to what I can do?

Any suggestions most welcomed :)

iPad Pro 10.5": iPad Pro 10.5 unresponsive to touch

My iPad Pro 10.5 began malfunctioning about three months after I bought it at the end of September 2017. I turned off everything: Bluetooth, multitasking, accessibility. My iPad Pro still—STILL—intermittently and often (several times a day) refuses to recognize typing and touch; the interface with Procreate is also glitchy. I wish Apple would acknowledge how faulty this iPad is and do right by its customers. FIX IT!

Maybe we should all just start new threads instead of commenting on old ones. So don't comment, just post your own question. Good luck!

Update (06/13/2018)

Before people start suggesting fixes. Here are things I've tried. None of which work.

turned off bluetooth

turned off multitasking

turned off accessibility options

did many hard reboots

turned off in the regular manner and restarted, many times

did a factory reset

probably some other things...

I have an iPad Pro 10.5” model number A1701. I am trying to diagnose and fix a power issue. I've tried two batteries and three charge ports and the current on my USB detector reads 0.01 amps at 5.13 volts no matter what. I've tested multiple capacitors, but I lack the guides to tell me which capacitors are associated with which circuits.
iPad Pro 10.5": Red Flash on boot

I have an iPad Pro from a customer who stated that the iPad would not power up. All original, never opened. Customer stated that she put the iPad on charge one night, and the next morning, the screen was black. She did not have access to iTunes. She also said that the iPad was NOT dropped and not wet. I took the iPad, connected to iTunes, which recognized device in restore mode. Attempted to restore. Toward end of process, Apple Logo comes on the screen for 8-10 seconds, follow by a quick full-red screen flash, then to black screen, with iTunes error 4013. IPad is out of warranty. I’m pretty experienced with replacing screens, batteries, cables, ports, etc., but troubleshooting what seems to be a software issue has be scratching my head. Has anyone experienced this?

iPad Pro 10.5": Will a screen replacement fix the white spots?

I'm considering on buying the screen replacement sold here on iFixit to get rid of the known bright white cloudy spots on the display issue. For what I've read it's a design flaw of the chip underneath getting too hot. A new iPad is not an option at the moment.

iPad Pro 10.5": after replacing battery, iPad keeps rebooting every 2-3 minutes

I recently replaced the battery on my iPad Pro 10.5 with an aftermarket battery from amazon. The iPad would turn on and function fine but then shut off after a few minutes and reboot. I read these forums and considered the new battery was bad so I bought another one. The same rebooting issue keeps happening. The battery percentage is a bit erratic jumping +/-5-10% randomly and without the corresponding use or charging that would normally account for a battery's percentage to fluctuate. I've been trying to factory reset the iPad but the iPad won't stay on long enough to complete the process. The iPad is cleared and erased but I can't seem to set it up because the iPad reboots to quickly. I feel like I'm so close to getting my trusty old iPad to work again and yet so far. its very frustrating!! any help or suggestion is appreciated. thanks.
