iPad Mini Wi-Fi: Is there any way to get photos/video from dead I-Pad?

It's dead. The Apple store says it's the 'Logic Module". As I understand it, all my photos/videos are stored on an internal flash drive which backs up to the cloud during charging. Is there any way to bust into this thing and access the memory where the photos were stored and get them out? This thing died when I plugged it in to charge and back-up, just after the delivery of my 2nd grand baby! No backup to the cloud!

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: iPad mini 16GB wifi randomly shuts down after screen replacement

Hello,

First of all, I am not new to repairing Apple devices, or even the iPad mini in this case. I own a repair shop in the Netherlands. A customer brought in 2 iPad mini's both wifi only versions with cracked glass. I replaced both digitizers with good quality aftermarket one's. One iPad is working fine, without problems. However the other one randomly shuts down. I already opened it again and disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes and reconnected it. After that I left it powered on during the night and there was no problem. It will still on and didn't shutdown during the night. This morning i started to use the iPad again and all the suddenly it reboots again, most of the times it bootes just fine, after very little usage it reboots.

Does any of you have the same experience, and more importantly, is there a fix?

Thanks for reading! I am looking forward to the reply's.

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: Black screen unresponsive, wont turn on?

My Ipad was working and had 5% power remaining. I plugged it up and the next morning it would not turn on. The screen is black, no logo, and unresponsive. It wont turn on. I tried the power, home combo, home, itunes combo and just power. It is also not recognized in itunes or by the computer when I plug it up. It has a new battery so that is not the problem. Any suggestions?? Is there a fix for this? Is my data safe? This ipad is like new condition has always been in a case, never dropped, water etc.

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: Is there a touch lcd controller board to repurpose screen?

I have this old, but in good condition iPad Mini. I also have a cracked screen Galaxy S8 that otherwise works fine. I'd like to reuse the touch display from the iPad Mini to create a DIY portable touch monitor that I can plug in this or future smartphones over USB Type C to basically have a smartphone powered tabled.

I've tried searching for controller boards for the LCD model from the teardown article (iPad Mini Wi-Fi Teardown), but to no success. Does anyone know if it's even possible to do this? Would it be possible to find one and ask the seller/manufacturer to put custom firmware on it? Being a Samsung display, I'm a bit surprised it's so hard to find, but it's also a very old device.

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: Touch not working after Digitizer replacement?

Hello every one!

I'm a newly started technician and I absolutely hate ipads. I always end up with problems from them!

Anyways, I replaced the broken digitizer with a new one and every thing seemed great. When I went to test that everything was working (I haven't removed the strips over the tape and actually mounted the digitizer) it started up fine.

However, when I get to the lock(unlock) bar I couldn't continue. The touch isn't working.

Home button works fine, if I put the Ipad to sleep I can wake it up with the home button.

/EDIT: I just tried with another digitizer, same problem. Home button works, touch does not.

Is the spacing between the golden 'prongs'(what is the correct technical term for them?) supposed to be there?

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: I changed screen and now the bottom part of screen has thick white

I changed the front glass screen - the LCD was fine but when I put it back together a 1/6 of the screen at the bottom is white in one thick white line. Is it because I touched the LCD - it was smeared so I wiped with dry cloth. Probably shouldn’t have done that.
