iPad Air 2: Stuck in recovery loop after attempted update.

After the release of ios11 I backed up my iPad on my MacBook Pro and downloaded the update. The update process started, and then the iPad restarted and I got an error in iTunes. The iPad stayed at the Apple logo and wouldn't change. No big deal, I thought. I just backed up. Just restore and go from there.

I did a hard restart, and the iPad loaded to recovery mode with the plug into iTunes information. I plugged it in and iTunes prompted me to restore or update. I tried updating again, which returned with an error 9, and the iPad just restarted to recovery. I tried restoring from a Windows computer with the newest version of iTunes with the same error. Created a new user on my laptop and tried... same error.

Then came DFU mode. iTunes recognizes the iPad, restore starts. The iPad restarts and gives the Apple log and an empty progress bar. iTunes says verifying update, then the iPad restarts, and I get error 9 in iTunes.

At this point I've gone through everything I can find in forums for suggestions, and have even tried some of the apps that claim they can fix these issues. All with no success.

The iPad is cared for pristinely, and has been working flawlessly until this update. Is it bricked for good at this point? Hoping not... can't really afford to replace a perfectly good device.

Hi.

I replaced two iPad air 2 Digitizer's/Lcd on clients devices and on one of them, the device shows the Apple logo for about 10 seconds, goes red then shuts down. This loops.

It does boot at times into a fully working iPad which you can use but it again at times just turns it self off.

I did disconnect the battery so I'm wondering if I've got a bad connection?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi: iPad will not activate after reset

I bought a used iPad Air 2 it was restored, removed from an iCloud account - it was in fine condition and had no physical marks.

iOS 11.2.2

Latest iTunes 12.7.58

However, when I try to setup it up. It will not activate - it says that the Apple Activation Server can't be reached I tried everything ifixit.com is probably my last resort. PLEASE HELP

In iTunes it says, and this is the weird thing, (I can't remember exactly how iTunes puts is but it's something like: "The Activation Status of the device cannot be retrieved because there's a SIM-card inside and it's protected by a PIN)

This is a Wi-fi only model, people.

I tried:

1. Activating it through different Wifi networks on both channels and through iPhone tethering

2. Activating it via iTunes on two different Macs running Yosemite and one Windows 10 PC

3. Activating it through Apple Configurator 2

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi: iPad stuck in an endless loop

So I left my iPad at home and when I got back it was out of battery. I plug it in and instead of it powering up and charging like normal it is stuck on the white screen with the apple logo and play the sound it makes when you start charging over and over again in 3-5 second intervals. I have tried hard resetting by holding the sleep/wake button and the home button but it will just power itself on again and continue the loop. I can not use iTunes to reset the device because I need to enter my password. What else can I do?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi: My iPad suddenly shut down and won't turn back on.

I've recently been using my iPad to watch alot movies, and something terrible occured last night. I was watching some movies one my iPad air 2 (bought last year), while being charged, with my headphones plugged in. Then all of a sudden the screen suddenly went black. None of the buttons on the iPad would work, and I've tried all the solutions online, but they were all useless. I have tried pressing the home button and power button for over a minute, but the apple logo would not appear. It seems like the screen just wouldn't turn on. It also doesn't connect to iTunes, so I can't backup my data, so I'm bascially screwed. Could anybody help me out in this situation??? I don't want to spend another hundred bucks on repairing this.
iPad Air 2: Rectangle surrounds "slide to unlock" & passcode won't work

I've held the home & power buttons down for the 10 seconds recommended, then when boots up there's a rectangular line surrounding the "slide to unlock". When it DOES allow the passcode page to appear (won't always do or takes a lot of time), there's also the same skinny rectangle going from screen edge to edge surrounding the passcode icons that always fill in as passcode is entered; those icons do not "fill in" when passcode is attempted & the # entered is slow to respond or won't respond at all. The circle surrounding the # entered becomes framed by a square, which has never happened in the past. The I-pad will not respond to my passcode & the last time I tried I got that stupid fast-talking-annoying-lady-voice who plagued my I-phone not long ago & caused me to lose all info & had to return phone. Stupidly I don't/didn't even KNOW how to back up my info or pictures & suspect I'm in for a big fat headache/heartache if I have to erase & re-start through I-tunes, if even THAT will work!! Any help gladly welcome.

iPad Air 2: Is it possible to change an Ipad battery?

An Apple store tech said it was not possible to change an IPad Air 2 battery. When it dies, the Ipad is junk.

I keep my tech stuff a long time (PC is 6 years old, Blackberry Pad is 3 years) but the rated charge cycle on a Li-on battery is about 1000 cycles, so a daily charge/discharge means the Ipad may die in less than 3 years.

Unless something else goes before that, or it really becomes obsolete, I would want to change the battery.

iPad Air 2: Question about replacing iPad Air 2 front glass screen.

Hi folks,

I dropped and shattered the glass screen on my iPad Air 2 but the touch LED beneath is perfectly fine and working.

I have read comments that replacing the glass front alone is murder because it's practically fused to the LED display beneath and trying to separate them can very easily result in wrecking the LED completely.

Is this true? Should I not bother with trying to replace and fix just the glass and replace the entire LED+Glass assembly instead?

Thank you.

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi: Completely Dead Ipad Air 2

Hello everybody,

so I have an Ipad Air 2 wifi that suddenly stopped working. The device didn't fall or get damaged with water. The only problem it had was not charging when using other cables than the one that came with it(I have 2 original lightning cabels and a hdmi adapter, I have no problem using them on my IPhone 6 however with the Ipad they do their connecting function but the battery doesn't get charged). So the device does not show any reaction to charging and doesn't connect to any Pc/Mac. It also refuse the reset. The only thing that happens is the right side gets warm when I connect it with the charger. Apple's employees were not helpful and only suggested to replace the Ipad with a new one for 340€.

My question is did this problem happen to any one before? What can be the cause and is there any solution.
