iPad 9 Wi-Fi: Digitizer don't work after replacement

Hey,

My wife IPad has been smashed by the dog. Touch screen was working (I tested every corner and other places) but it was so smashed so we couldn't use it anymore. I ordered new digitizer and watched some tutorials and videos on YT how to do this. The hardest thing was removing old smashed digitizer and clean old glue. When I done it I connected new digitizer but it don't react for any touch. Sometimes screen is moving my it looks randomly. For me it looks fine but could you tell me what could be the reason? Pins looks fine for me but when I was removing old glue I scraped off some black paint on that thing between connectors and battery connector. Could it be the problem? Replacing digitizer in some service in Poland is pretty expensive and Apple can only replace whole device for price which is higher than new one (wtf).

I also tried to connect broken digitizer but I cut flex cable when I was removing broken digitizer.

Photos of connectors:

If you have any idea or any info how could I check what is wrong please help me! It was present for my wife and I really want to fix ix!

iPad 9 Wi-Fi: iPad 9 black screen. I can see screen if using flashlight

I have an iPad 9th gen. Recently the black screen of death appeared. I restored it and nothing happened. I saw a post about if you hold a flashlight to the screen and see it that means it’s the back light. I did that and sure enough I can see it. If that’s the case, would I have to replace the LCD screen? Or is it irreplaceable. Could it also be a loose cable?

iPad 9 Wi-Fi: Screen replacement causes lcd to go crazy?

Hey all first time poster, I replaced the screen in my daughter’s iPad 9th gen 10.2” . The replacement went well and nothing visibly went array. It’s my first replacement but I wanted to attempt to do it myself worst case the iPads are on sale for $250 right now. Long story short I replaced the touch screen, I powered the iPad on before finalizing the install so I could test the touch screen before securing above the lcd. Everything worked flawlessly. I got everything put together and powered the iPad on, and the lcd goes nuts. Can’t type in the passcode or anything. It spams the passcode and locks me out. I ordered another touch screen thinking that may be a problem. It gets here tomorrow. But I’m thinking there may be another issue? Possibly lcd? I did remove the touch screen again, I powered the iPad on with no touch screen and the lcd seems to go crazy even without the touch screen attached. Any idea??

iPad 9 Wi-Fi: Screen digitizer doesn’t come with home button cable?

Hi there,

Ordered a replacement screen digitizer and the new one doesn’t come with a home button cable? In the photos, it looks like the new digitizer comes with one, but when it arrived, it only had the two display cables.

Trying to figure out what I need to do and how to proceed as I am truly stuck without the home button cable. I’m wanting to retain the OEM cable to keep Touch ID and that shouldn’t be a big deal since I am not replacing the home button, but just the battery and digitizer.
