iPad 4 Wi-Fi: I replaced the damaged lightning port and it still won’t charge.

A few months ago the lightning cable broke off while plugged into my iPad. I was able to remove the broken piece, but damaged one of the iPad’s lighting port pins in the process. So I ordered a new lightning connector and adhesive strip set form ifixit. I’ve replaced a few iPad screens before with success so I figured this repair would be no problem.

Well I finally got around to doing to repair, and it did go smoothly. I decided to stop the assembly just before removing the backing strips from the adhesive, but still placed the touch panel in place and tested the charging. And I’m glad I did because it doesn’t work. I left it plugged into two different known good chargers and cables. Each for several hours and overnight. One was an older 10W iPad charging block (model A1357). And the other was a newer USB C charger from an iPhone (model A1720). All I get when I press the top button is the flashing red low battery symbol and lightning cable image with a lightning bolt above it for a few seconds.

Because the screen isn’t glued down yet, I could easily open it again to double check all the connections. Everything looks good to me.

Any ideas what to try next?

iPad 4 Wi-Fi: Doesn’t show charging or turn on

This iPad was previously working but had a cracked screen. It sat for a few weeks without being charged. I plugged it in and the battery icon did not appear. I knew the lightning connector was worn out. I ordered a new screen and lightning connector. I successfully replaced both. It still will not charge or turn on. I decided to replace the battery. After all that it will still not charge. I have not completely sealed it up again but have sat the new digitizer tightly in place. It will not charge or turn on after being connected to a cable for several hours. What other components could need replacing?

Thank you for any help or insight!

Cumprimentos

Replaces the screen of the ipad 4, when I closed the glass the image of the ipad restore appeared on the screen, then I tried to connect to the computer but as it had outdated iTunes I could not do the restore. Now every time I press the power button the Apple appears and disappears right away and iTunes does not recognize the iPad. Can anyone give a say? best regards

I have an iPad 4 that is updated to 10.3.2. It is signed into my iCloud. I will go ahead and preface my issues with saying that I am aware of the PMIC issue that is common in this model.
1. device lock screen function is n/g (BUT the power off and soft reset STILL function accordingly as well as volume and lock switch work)

iPad 4 Wi-Fi: Half back light after screen replacement

Hello everyone, I just repaired an Ipad 4th gen today. I turned off the ipad before starting the repair. After completing the repair I turned on the device and the right half of the screen has a bad backlight. The tablet was completely off the whole repair. So I check the backlight filters and there isn't a short in them. Also oddly when the Ipad is booting up the apple logo doesn't show any bad backlight, the entire thing is little until just before it gets to the main screen then the apple logo gets half of it gone from the backlight. Can someone please help me? I tried a software update, new lcd, and a factory dfu mode reset.
