iPad 3G: How to restore the OS to my iPad that was removed by an update?

A few years ago, I was informed by my iPad (that worked perfectly fine at that point to watch youtubes) that it needed to be updated.
I connected it to my laptop and ran the update as per instructions. Only for the process to halt with a message that my iPad1 is no longer supported.
But the update process already removed or altered the operating system, so that when it disconnected, I was left with an iPad that is still physically perfect but no longer works!
I feel like it was deliberately destroyed by the "update" that clearly had not intention of updating it, but provided no warning that the process would remove its functionality.
Is there any way to restore its functionality?

iPad 3G: After repairing iPad battery, I turn it on and get I spinning logo.

Hello,

I have just replaced my iPad 1 (3G) battery but now when I turn it on the apple logo apears for about 40 seconds then I get a spinning logo. It never fully turns on. The spinning logo freezes every 20 seconds, but then starts again and the cycle continues. If I plug it into power you can hear the charge sound but still nothing happens. When I plug it into my computer, it shows up for a second but goes away in about 20 seconds.

I hope someone can help me,

Thanks

Marcus

Edit:

I still haven't gotten anywhere… I took it apart and put it together for a second time but till no avail. Any suggestions?

iPad 3G: Why is my screen black after screen replacement?

iPad was dropped and there were lines across the screen, no cracks though. I had it repaired and it was working fine after that. The battery started draining fast and the screen became black. I thought it was the battery, like it had died or something. Until one day, I was playing around with it, charging it and pressing the home and power button simultaneously. I heard what sounded like the iPad taking a screen shot. Any thoughts? Tips? I would really like to use the iPad again.

iPad 3G: iPad A1337 throws iTunes Error 2002

iPad (A1337) is stuck in Recovery Mode (forcing user to connect to iTunes).

When connecting to iTunes, this message pops when restoring to factory settings:

"The iPad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2002)."

We think it's either a bad battery or a bad 30-pin connector. Before we use invasive methods, we would like to drill down towards one root cause.

We can't connect to the Coconut Battery app to figure out battery health.

We will leave the iPad on a charger and see if it holds a charge. We can replicate this condition with different chargers, cables, and computers.

What else can we examine or perform before we go ordering parts. We're hoping for a bad battery. We're not in the mood for more surface-mount soldering.

iPad 3G: What can I do about gyro/accelerometer error

Im not very optimistic about this problem, I replaced my back casing, witch was a "xxxxxx" job. But everything came back together sort of. the problem is the motion sensor system has become unstable. I have downloaded an app showing me data from the gyro/accelerometers and the data fluctuates constantly, resulting in the screen not rotating, and the parallax effect needs to be turned off. so, it seems that i have messed up something and there seems to bee little I can do, Ive tried the restart and and factory reset, and total recovery via macbook.Ive tried the headphone jack thing,no joy. And returning it to apple is not an option, so it seems that Im stuck with a non rotating iPad:)

Still maybe there is somebody out there with a miracle solution, my fingers are crossed XX

iPad 3G: Ipad 3 Processor Chip Overheating

Hello,

I really do have an issue here. I have an ipad 3rd gen with 3g built in but I go to use the ipad and it will be very hot in the bottom left corner after a couple minutes which eventually left the ipad to not boot up and had to restore overtime. The restore fixes it but again the ipad gets hot so I ended up investigating more why it was becoming so hot.

I took the ipad apart and sourced out where the heat is coming from, and removed one of the shield plates giving access to the processor A5X chip.

After a couple minutes of gameplay, the chip is very hot and you cannot touch it. This seems to be the only place where its getting really hot. I did notice there was a thermal pad on it which had bubbles on it and so did the chip so I am not sure if its water damage or what but I really want to know what I can do to fix it because it obviously isn't normal to behave like that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also the ipad will start to freeze up when it gets super hot and apps sometimes will crash and won't open again even after restarting.

iPad 3G: Unresponsive to touch - 5cm of screen after digitizer replacement

I have just replaced a cracked screen on my iPad 3 for the third time. First two replacements were fully functional, just not glued effectively, hence number of replacements!

This time around however, I appear to have done something to compromise the left side of the iPad - if you hold it portrait with the home button at the bottom, the first column of icons is completely unresponsive to touch, while the other three columns continue to respond.

Both the touchscreen and the display module appear to be reconnected well, though I have rather carelessly clipped off a small piece of covering off one of the two touchscreen PCB ports.

I have a picture of that if it might help anyone suggest what I am doing/have done wrong! Any help greatly appreciated, I have looked for an answer to this and not really found anything, regards, Allan
