I have a 2 part question. After contacting Apple Support because my iPad was freezing they guided me to do an iCloud Back-Up and then delete my account to re-synced with the iCloud back up. Unfortunately the Apple agent did not verify our 'Manage iCloud storage' to see that out 'Camera Roll' Pictures were turned off. This deleted 4 years of very important pictures (to say the very least). I was transferred to an Apple Senior Supervisor, who admitted his agent's mistake and said that there was nothing they can do.

The Senior Supervisor tried to send us and 'iPod Nano' as compensation ($150.00) and said that we would have to try and find an Apple certified retailer to try and recuperate the lost data (pictures) on our own and AT OUR EXPENSE.

This is a nightmare and what Apple is offering is a joke. I searched the Internet for programs to recuperate the data to no avail.

1. Please advise if there is any way (software or other) to recuperate these deleted pictures (as they were not backup anywhere) as the only way would be via the hard-disk on the iPad.

2. Please also advise what course of action to take with Apple as what they are offering is a sub-standard brush off.

I tried turning it off, then plugging the charger in and like what its supposed to do, it turns on! I don't know what to do now that I'm reaching 10% battery. Turned off wifi and turned the brightness on the lowest. I hope i get an answer before it dies off.

I replaced the digitizer on a New iPad 64gb 3G and the touch has stopped working. I even tested the old digitizer and other replacement digitizers without success. I do not understand what has happened as i regularly replace iPad 2 screens without any issues. Has anybody successfully replaced new iPad Screens? because i cannot find any examples or solutions online

Also when connected to power it beeps every 3 to 4 seconds (same sound as the single beep the ipad makes when connected to a charger)

Here are a few things I tried doing with no success.

Connected to iTunes which sees the ipad when connected PC

Tried resetting it using the home+power button

Tired restoring it, and restoring via DFU mode

Opened it up and disconnected then reconnected the display cables. The only thing I noticed was that the backlight goes on and off.

I don't know what it could be. Is it the screen, cables or logic board? Any advice would be appreciated.

I timed it, and exactly every 200 seconds it restarts, starting with what looks like a "grey curtain" being drawn over the screen then boot-looping. When on the activation screen, it charges and holds the charge normally.

I am not sure if I should try a restore, I'm afraid to brick it.

Anyone solved an issue like this before? Or can suggest something to start with?

My iPad3 Wifi is locked in the „Restore Mode“ (iTunes Symbol + cable on Display). First I got “unknown error 9”, after the release of IOS8 “unknown error 4013”. I tried everything on different computers (Win/OSX), USB Ports, DFU/Restore Mode, different cables, and so on – the full program with no success.

After endless hours of searching I thought I got the solution – the dock connector must be defect. Today I opened the iPad with the Ifixit toolset (works great!) and replaced the dock connector. What shall I say, still “unknown error 4013”. I tried some other things: Cameras (Front, Back, Front + back) off, Speakers off, Battery reset several times with different cables on different USB Ports at my computer “Unknown error 4013”.

Jailbreak Tools doesn’t work cause of the Restore mode.

The iPad lays still open beside me, but I don’t know what more I can do?

Hope someone got something like an flash of inspiration for me…

So I went ahead and replaced the screen, and before I sealed the iPad I tried turning it on, and no luck, no image, no lights, nothing.

1- Screen has no image

2- iPad is on (shows up on iTunes

3- Tried holding the power and home button for 7 seconds

4- Tried to put it in DFU mode

5- I unplugged the battery from mother board

6- I tried unplugging everything about 10 times now

7- Left iPad cables unplug about 45 minutes

8- The battery is at 45%

9- If I hit the power button I do get the sound every iDevice gets

So I did all that and still no image.

A customer has just brought an iPad 3 4G into me a company had replaced the screen for him.

The screen had come away & the LCD was pushed out also the iPad would no longer power on.

He did take it back to the company that replaced the screen but they basically said there was nothing they could do so he approached me.

When i looked at it what had happened was the battery all 3 cells had expanded which was causing the LCD up & it had forced the screen off.

The customer said there was what looked like an oily residue under the screen before the screen came off.

I inspected it as i suspected the battery had leaked but i could not fine any signs of leakage.

I did notice who had replaced the screen not only used the adhesive that comes with the screens but they also used LOCA adhesive also not sure if this has any effect i was always told never use any other adhesive other than the pre cut strips provided.

I replaced the battery & the iPad started up OK.

I noticed when i was putting it back together the motherboard where it joins just above the 2 parallel screws it had come apart normally this stays together so not sure if this could be anything to do with the issue?

After reassembling & starting up there was less than 20% battery in it it all stayed on no problems.

I put it onto charge & left it overnight on a wall charger not my Mac. it had only charged up to 58% & it was starting up for a few minutes then it restarts i powered it off & it then charged up to 100%.

I took it off charge but it now powers on for about 4 to 5 minutes then restarts.

Has anyone had this issue before if so how did you resolve it?

Could this be a fault with the new battery i only have the one battery so don't have another to test it.

Or any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Need your guides how to fix it, my ipad warranty is expired. according to apple repair this item cannot repair need to replace 1 to 1. since the warranty expired than i need to up the money MYR 1,300.

Please guide me what should i do?

it's logical board? its flash problem, or something else please advice.

After hooking up everything the touch doesn't work, I have used 5 different digitizer to see if it is digitizer issue but neither one works and I dont know what could have happened .

Please suggest.
