iPad 2 GSM: IPad 2 home button won't make contact to unlock screen.

I'm replacing a digitizer on an iPad 2 for someone. I've fixed this same iPad before. Everything went fine until I got the new digitizer installed and realize the home button isn't working. It seems like a physical button placement issue. I jumped the contacts on the logic board and the screen came up and I seem to have continuity between the contact pads on the home button itself. Could the manufacturer have just glued the contacts too high on the digitizer? Any ideas?

iPad 2 GSM: iPad Mini 2 only powers up on charge but bootloops and then gets stuck

My iPad is on iOS 10.3.3. I cracked he screen and the battery etc was disconnected for a week now. Popped the new lcd and digitiser in and tried switching it on but the device did not switch on. I then plugged it into a wall adapter and saw the Apple logo (finally). But then the device started bootlooping on the Apple logo. I hard reset the device and eventually I was led to just a blank screen. I left it on charge over night with no luck. Whenever I disconnect the charger the device switches off and does not switch on again.

iPad 2 GSM: Home button not responding after digitizer replacement, how can I fix?

I've just replace the digitizer on my iPad 2 GSM, and now the home button doesn't respond. I don't see how the home button even interfaces with the logic board, as it seems to just be a small PCB board behind the actual button, that doesn't connect to anywhere... Any ideas of how to fix please?

iPad 2 GSM: NO SIM after changing digitizer and SIM reader

I broke the glass of my iPad 2 some days ago and went on changing the digitizer. After connecting the new ditizer before closing everything up I tried if the iPad still works correctly. So far everything went great, Wi-Fi still worked though I didn't change the antenna, touchscreen worked and after some attempts the home button did, too. Then I noticed the iPad showing "NO SIM" in the upper left corner, allthough I put my SIM card in. I tried the SIM card from my phone (which I know is working) but without success. So I ordered and replaced the SIM reader + the headphone Jack, but that didn't help either.

To be honest, I'm not sure if the SIM stopped working after dropping the iPad or after replacing the glass.

So my question is, could it be that the problem is that I damaged the 3G Antenna while removing the old digitizer? I'm not sure about that, because I thought if I broke the antenna it just wouldn't find any signal, but would read the SIM card. This is why I suspected the SIM reader, but I replaced it with a new one and still NO SIM, though the headphone jack is working (so it is connected correctly).

tl;dr:

After replacing the digitizer and SIM reader I still get the NO SIM error. Could this be because the 3G antennas were damaged while removing the old glass?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

iPad 2 GSM: Can I swap the eMMC chip from an iPod touch 5th generation.

Hi,

I have an iPad 2 GSM which doesn’t seem to turn on, that is it just shows the Apple logo and then nothing else.Tried restoring it with iTunes but the restore doesn’t complete and I get an error.

When I took it to a repair shop they figured out that it was caused by the eMMC and that they don’t have replacements.

I also happen to have an iPod touch 5th gen which also has the same processor and such as the iPad 2.So i was wondering if its eMMC could be swapped with the iPad.

Thanks in advance!
